I just upgraded my home NetGear setup to ac to take advantage of increasing bandwidth and more devices at home...........that alone gave me download speeds in the 140's - nearly triple of what I had before and.........better streaming on all devices. Now I am reading that the standards are moving ahead again..........I found it interesting to read the upcoming changes to WiFi standards....................<a href="https://www.wi-fi.org/news-events/newsroom/wi-fi-alliance-introduces-low-pow

After a week or so of using Bongiovi DPS I can say that the difference in sound quality is truly amazing. Most probably the best upgrade I've done on system in the past year. The depth of sound coming out of my decent two speaker Creative set-up is like night and day compared with what it was before.
Yes but it is not free. It is only a free trial according to what I have read which I quoted above.
Go to their website and check. It is free. Looks like it used to be a time limited demo but all I had to do was to sign up and I guess I'll get some emails from their company offering other products but its free and the software has no limitations. I don't see anywhere in the software where it says its a demo
After several hours of playing with bongiovi dps I have to say its pretty good especially with a laptop and small speaker set-up. The depth of sound produced by this software is very noticeable. I tried it with various music players and it worked with all of them and all the laptop sounds. Here's some more info....... http://bongioviacoustics.com/applications/software/computers-system-wide-plugin/</a
I also use AmazonMusic's player too which sounds OK. Does anyone know and/or recommend any other Audio Enhancement software other than DFX? I've just installed this and its pretty decent........and its free. https://my.bongiovidps.com/firstlogin
Winamp is only reduced to hype and nostalgia nowadays. Nobody really needs it anymore. There are plenty better alternatives out there. Heck, even Groove of Windows 10 is better nowadays.
I'd agree with Groove. It's pretty good. I'd like to see one player with the audio quality that DFX Audio Enhancer gives you. When I tried it several years ago DFX was an amazing add-on and beat any internal sou

Update.......... http://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-restores-windows-10-november-update-media-explains-why-it-was-pulled
That's interesting. MS will sort it out. I see on some sites that people are saying that they've done away with their QA and relying on feedback from their 'insiders'. I can't believe that's true. Surely not. Internal QA has to play an important role prior to release. My own personal experience with 10 is great and I would not want to go back to 7 or 8.1, for love nor money...........but I have full confidence that MS will sort out this issue and the OS
Microsoft's response to criticism to their move does not bear out..........me thinks something is up with the November Update. I updated via the media creation tool and ISO's and I am not seeing any issues with my rigs.......but there have been talks about a bitlocker issue. We'll see [e digicons]>_>[/e]
I would not be surprised if the Stardock developers have had a tough time building Windowblinds 10. Microsoft have pumped through so many changes and updates to Windows 10 since release I bet the alpha or beta build is ever changing. Look forward to seeing it when its ready. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Quoting BigDogBigFeet, reply 53 I did an in place upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10. Latest build is very nice improvement. Nice to hear. Make sure you have your mfr's latest Win10 drivers. I've heard MS can overwrite
Leo, did you ever upgrade that rig to 10 before the clean install? Otherwise, it shouldn't have activated, according to MS.
RND.........Nope, first time clean install on brand new drive. And yes you are right, according to Microsoft I should have not been able to do that but it did and was it successfully activated.
Well, given the state of some posts, the spellchecker clearly doesn't work for everyone [e digicons];)[/e]
Its due to the faulty spellchecker engine that Stardock built into the website - its called Jafocheck. It was designed in 1954 by a Aussie guy after he drank 15 pints of lager and was using a voice recorder to record his slurred words.............
I have a new, larger, SSD on the way. The old 128Gb SSD just wasn't big enough, I had to store a lot of stuff on another drive. Once I've got the boot media on a USB I'll be clean installing W10 to the new drive [e digicons]:)[/e]
That's exactly what I did. Clean install on a brand new 256gb SSD on a four year old Toshiba Qosmio X505 i7 18.4 inch gaming laptop rig. A lot said it could not
Fuzz.........You can fix the start menu with Start10. Just updated the three machines we have in my home with the 'November' Update. 10 is getting better and better. Don't wait or do the update via Windows Update, get the ISO's and install from those. The new Microsoft Edge web browser is showing a lot of promise..........but the built in ad blocker is pretty useless and I cannot use a web browser with loads of pop-ups............But the guys at AdBlock have been beavering hard and it looks like they are going to have one in place soon. Then we'll see what Edge and Chrome can do head to head............. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Iconpackager is not compatiable with Windows 10. Could that be the issue?
Thanks ID
Just saw on another site that Start 10 had been updated to 1.02............hit the update button and sure enough downloaded update and went from version 1.01 to 1.02. Great program that really makes Windows 10 better in many ways. I don't see anything up on this site or on Stardock about the update. What's changed from 1.01 to 1.02? Just curious
