Microsoft Office 2016 Now Available................. in Personal Computing WinCustomize Forums

Great to see Microsoft release Office 2016 today.................Coming 'hot on the heals' of Windows 10. I'm one of those that found the light themes rather too bright in 2013 but I got used to it..........but honestly, I really preferred the look of 2010. And the bottom half now populates with recently used programs...........thanks. My version shows 1.01 beta. I click update and it tells me there is a new version available. It then takes me to Stardock and offers me 1.01...........I follow the prompts and installation and reboot and it still shows 1.01 beta. We then start all over again and go in the circle all over again! What gives?

I have to say - much to my surprise - that I am really enjoying it. Clean install onto a new SSD and it's a flying machine. Faster than 8.1 in everyway........boot, loading programs, responsiveness etc. Like everyone else here..........I'm missing some of my Stardock apps but they'll come along in the not too distant future. Some of what has been highlighted in this topic has been going on for years - whatever operating system you have. If you think otherwise then you are sadly mistaken.
