Ian, if Mr. Rumsfeld himself is saying that the Prisoner Abuse is credible, and this means that the Bush machine thinks it's real, any site like this is spinning idiocy. If a thief came to me and told me he'd witnessed a murder, I might be sceptical at first, but if he produced pictures and other evidence. I'd probably believe him. Cheers

But that would make things biased. The best D.C. will ever be is a Federal District. Cheers
I'm sending the *.cra file from Smartexception to their support address: [email protected] Cheers
Actually Draginol, that's still not true, I'm not sure how old you were during the Vietnam war, but I can remember people in my hometown being VERY upset over the draft, and that was before deferments for college students was lifted. Since protests are very rarely a universal thing, your statement mey be true in your neck of the woods, and not in mine and others, who knows. Cheers
(throw) Cheers
The "first" democracy in the world required military service before citizenship could be achieved. Robert A. Heinlein suggested that in Starship Troopers This is not a new idea, will our society ever go for it? Probably not, we may love our guns, but having to stand toe to toe with someone who can kill you? Not bloody likely. Cheers
He doesn't, his job is to advise and consent. Cheers
Actually, technically D.C. gets the same number of EV as the lowest population state. This will continue to be 3 at least until everyone moves out of California. Cheers
It works well in Finland and South Korea. I have no problem with the theory of two years of mandatory civil service. I think it would encourage a greater participation by the young who tend to be rather apathetic. Cheers
Genghis, in Oregon that means your opinion is worth 20+ cents. Good for you! Cheers
Draginol, we don't get the world in my neck of the woods so I can't say how ideologue it is, but and I can say this having lived in some pretty conservative parts of the world, there are NPR programs which are rather conservative in their viewpoint. Since each station picks it's content it seems as if your station doesn't pick those programs. It seems as if the people in your region want to listen to that show, you can request some of the more conser
Brad, can you give an email address to manually send the .cra file? Smart Exception isn't sending it, and I would rather not post it here since I don't know exactly what information is in it. Thanks Cheers
And, I'm voting for Kerry! Ain't America Grand? Cheers
Actually, one of the World Trade Centers buildings did fall down without being hit by an airplane. But the idea of a conspiracy? That's silly, a lot of buildings suffered structural damage from debris, both big debris and little debris, is it any wonder that one of the buildings CLOSE to the Twin Towers would fall down? Nope, and no conspiracy theory either. Cheers
I'm all for the Electoral college, why? Because I, like the founding fathers, don't trust the people to do jack diddly in their own long term best interest. Cheers
Salem witch trials, Jim Crow Laws, Ku Klux Klan, Timothy Mcvey-especially this one since HE DEFINITELY BLEW UP CHILDREN, the South Vietnamese government, various rebel groups in Central and South America, and lots of parts of Africa, there are more, but I think that's enough to disprove your point. Be very aware, I am not grouping most christians in with these people, THESE ARE EXTREMISTS, in the same way that Bin Laden is an extremist, to say
Still crashing, though I admit, it takes longer now. cheers
Alas, Super, you are under the misunderstanding that NPR is a NEWS radio station, it's not, I don't know which show Draginol was listening to, since there is no mention of it, but just because it's on NPR doesn't mean it's News. Or even impartial. I think it would be as silly as insisting that Rush be impartial as to insist that this show be. Since most of NPR's funding comes from listeners, the easiest way to get rid of shows like that is to call u
Umm, the only time in your "case" where Kerry could be taking any responsibility is when he uses the group "we". This was of course meant to mean the whole of the American people. Believe it or not, the United States authorized free fire zones where anything that moved was shot or bombed. That violates the Geneva Convention by the way. And any American who didn't know about those zones wasn't paying attention. Cheers
Hey, my results proved I was like Ghandi Cheers
Well, the crash comes even later than it did in the previous build but it still comes. Smartexception won't send the error report. Cheers
Unfortunately, Bin Laden, like, ironically many of the extremist Christians, have only read enough of their holy book to justify their hatred of those who are different than them. Since the holy teachings of Islam say that Christians and Jews should be treated with respect "due to fellow people of the Book", it seems doubtful that Bin Laden can justify calling himself a true Muslim. Cheers
Just a note, internet petitions tend to be ignored by anyone who matters because there is no accurate way to determine whether the people who signed it are real or "shadows". Also, a person can sign an internet petition multiple times, whereas a physical petition can be checked against voter registration rolls. Cheers
Miki, it's not a question of fighting ability. Never in the course of human history has an outside force managed to keep an unpopular government over a repressed people, at least not for very long. The communists won the war because they actually listened to the people, and becuase they didn't seem as bad as the Southern government. Sure they repressed and killed afterwards, but they won the hearts and minds of the Vietnamese people. <br
This may raise some ire here, but the US would have been farther better allying themselves with Ho Chi Minh and the North than the South. Why? Because the people respected Ho Chi Minh, and no one respected the government of the South. For my first college degree I wrote my thesis on this topic, let me tell you, I got a lot of interesting reactions from people in the late seventies for writing that. Cheers
