I think the best way would be to emprty a number of sectors completely an then require certain techs to navigate them, that way you could create empty zones between planetclusters making it a strategic imperative to control the chokepoints. The added change I would like to see is to have these technologies confer a percentage chance to "run the gauntlet". I.E. if 12 ships cross an empty sector there's a % chance that x of them don't make it. This would make garrisoning a bigger priority and

You should never give up, it took me 2 months to reach top 100, I kept crashing and burning on normal. Scoring is only a part of the game, the good part is making the smart killer move. In mylast game I noticed the drangin beating the tar out of the torians, as they were shipping in their troops I snuck by their fleet and tokk the planet with a single c-transport. I agree with the last poster, I've netted three games over 2 days and scored as much as in the previous month playing on maso, the scoring should be linear to encourage lower level players to compete.

I'm from Sweden actually, and I find that blondes get a bit boring after a while, even though they're nice to look at. Besides, here we like to debate the relative merits of the euro instead. I have newer posted on this forum before and I've only recently joined the European alliance after I discovered that I could make no headway with my own empire.
