Well, what you do with melee units, which are my preference: you Dominate the bad, bad man. You watch how fast he goes, and make sure he ends his turn next to, but can't hit your units. Then they all beat him into the ground.

My city titles are often displayed incorrectly, they switch to another city title. Fixes itself if the title is updated (for instance if I garrison a unit) or reload the save. I had a unit portrait swap itself with another unit portrait. Eg, my "honor guards" mini icon was showing the "Leather Riders" mini icon. Tactical Combat: Units that die still get their retaliation hit, even though the dying unit is doing its death animat

Sometimes two wandering heroes bump into one another, and then they form an army and can't be recruited even when the little "..." icon pops up. Also: there may be some strangeness with changing the name of the world and/or messing around a lot with character creation (eg, making a king, going back, making another one, going back etc) and spawning of goodie huts - in my first game it spawned bug-level craploads of goodie huts (like, a dozen morrigan towers, or so many notables that

Dragon and Hobo and I ran into some major issues when our host was dropped. Another host was selected, but Dragon and I both experienced weird UI errors - essentially, our credits/crystal/metal amounts were complete and utter lies (the diplomacy screen ones seemed accurate, but not the ones in the regular UI) - and things were just weird. I'd put in an order for some 750 research, and the amount indicated in your UI would drop by a thousand (even if it only said I had say 500 in there,

One thing I would like to see is queue-status indication in the icon level of a gravity well. When you queue up, say, 12 gauss cannons, they appear transparent in the graphics, but if you zoom out to view the gravity well, there is no way to see the difference between a 100% constructed gauss cannon, and a 0% constructed gauss cannon (though of course the building progress bar shows you the ones in between 0-100%). This has actually had strategic implications in a game, I scared someb

Sound bug: I had a large TEC fleet, and I fleet-jumped them to some hostile planet. I zoomed all the way in to watch the nifty graphics. zoom zoom. When the ships arrived and started fighting, the "in phase space rumble" sound effect kept going! Even if I zoomed out. Saving and reloading made the sound go away. Smart Scaling Bug (aka missing icons): In a big game (4 stars), if the ending node of a star "tree" is too close to the center of another star, the game does a sort of "onB

I am running the latest version (as of the time of posting) - in a Gigantic Map, Challenging diff, as the Terrans, all the 1.1 options (no tech trading, etc) on, started with 9 races and worked my way down to about six. I am doing quite well. Everything seems to work fine, EXCEPT: On two occasions I have had a CRD (and subsequent load from autosave) when the Yor found a random "Ranger" bonus. It plays the movie with the text properly, I click OK and it CRDs! I'd say it w

New race popped up late game: jarkians. The diplomacy screen of them saying hello appeared. I closed it. I had a spare transport in range, so I invaded their planet the first turn they appeared! After all, they start with all kinds of tech and I didn't want them trading it. Emergency vote popped up The text was: "should we go to war against the %s" All the other text (after I conquered them) was fine and li

Actually I'm not sure but this might just be the game filling up the transport with a max of half the planet's population, rather than a bug. However I did run into the "invade a planet, and the population rolls over to 4 trillion" bug. I invaded a planet with 1 or 2 troop transports, most likely doing Information Warfare, and won, with 1100 soldiers left; when I got back to the galaxy screen the planet had a pop of 4 trillion. Next week,

Was playing tonight, found a bug (dunno if it has already been reported) I had a planet with about 2.6 billion folks. On this planet, I built a transport with 3 adv modules. Did a right-cluck to launch the transport with a full complement of troops: Ship was launched with 2.6 billion. 2.6 billion folks were still on the planet. Docking the ship there again caused the population to go to 5.2 billion Malkleth

From a programming perspective, the AI could treat them essentially as rally points. For instance, assuming the AI can use rally points effectively, I figure that a "star gate" might be, say, a kind of starbase, and of course you need two for it to be effective (and it would probably require multiple, probably a lot) of constructors to build, the AI might take the two most heavily used rally points (of which at least one is inside it's own s
