I'm sorry. There was obviously a good amount of effort put into the "comic" strip. Especially the artwork. However, it wasn't funny. Not even a little bit. At all. Perhaps the next one will make more sense to me.

Hello, I've been absent a while and was wondering if the new upgrade was available yet? If so, where do I get it? If not, when is it coming?
in terms of the "cheese tactic" are you saying that you colonize and then just add 10 million at a time? I thought you only got PQ events the first time you colonize and after that you're simply adding to the current colony. Or are you saying to colonize w/ 10 million, remove them and then repeat as needed?
I had a game this past week on 1.05 where the Arceans were down to one system. I had just installed a 3rd starbase in that sector and maxed out its culture modules when I got a screen saying that a seperatist group of Arceans had broken from the "regular" Arceans and were now called the Free Arceans or something like that. The strange thing was that even though they had created an independent society they didn't get their own system as happens with the I-league. They were simply in charge of the
what is a "death knight"?
I could buy the Wonder part of that, maybe, but the trade good thing is bogus. Thanks Ray. [Message Edited]
I thought the Sol system was purple because at some point in the future they unthawed The Artist Formerly Know As, and he became ruler of the solar system ;p
O.K. then here's my question. If you capture a system with a Wonder in it and the Wonder is destroyed, can you then build the Wonder again? What about a trade good. Can you build the trade good if you destroy the race that first created it? If not, that seems logically flawed to me. If I knew how to build a trade good and simply got beat to the punch, I should be able to try and build it once the "supplier" is dead.
Were there more movies after "The Hobbit"? I hadn't heard anything. Rankin & Bass rule.
since I started this thread (though obviously not the first to notice this "problem" or even post about it) I guess I'll chime in and say that it never occured to me to use ESC to close the dialogue boxes. ESC seems intuitively to mean "quit" or "stop game" or at least it seems so to me. BTW I wasn't aware that ENTER was a turn button, I've always used SPACE 'cause...well, it seemed intuitive. As for confusing people by changing it, I'm not asking to change it for everyone. But if desired,as som
put a million "lucky" folks on a Cship and put a little money in PQ improvement. Who knows, maybe you'll get a PQ event upon arrival. Kill those worms!
I don't know if this helps, but it's possible that the crash is unrelated to copying. I've got 1.05 and there are still times that a game, for whatever reason, crashes. It doesn't matter whether I go back and use previous autosave, etc. Something in the game that was about to occur (an event? a tech discovery?) caused a crash and I usually just abandon that game and start a new one.
ooohhhkaaay! Glad to know I'm not the only one who is frustrated by this. Thanks for the ESC tip though. ;)
Is there a way to be able to hit enter rather than click on "Done" on an info screen? You know, like when a project is done or more importantly when you run over an anomaly? It's such a pain in the @$$! Thanks in advance.
What's the advantage of maxed out sensors? Can you see what types of stars and their PQ at a greater distance? That would save time on deciding where to send your colonists.
So why wouldn't they call them BS.....ah, just answered my own question. LOL
thanks Ray
A couple of questions. 1. Do ships in orbit around a system get the a/d bonuses that a starbase in that sector provides? 2. Are bonuses cumulative? If I have two starbases in a sector that have the same module upgrade (e.g. micro fighters: attack +2) do my ships in that sector now have a +4 attack?
this maybe an obvious question: Do ships in orbit get attack/defense bonuses provided by nearby starbases? Follow-up question: Are the bonuses cumulative? If you have more than one starbase in a sector and they have identical module enhancements (e.g. micro fighters attack +2)does my ship now have a +4 attack in that sector?

that was going to be my next question: is there a point of diminishing returns on a starbase? Can the upkeep outweigh the economic bonuses received?
Thanks for the link, very helpful. Next question: Has anyone managed to research excalibur tech and build some of those bad boys? If so, how do you prolong the game enough to get that far up the tech tree? Huge universe? Harder difficulty?
On the tech tree there seem to be several classes of ship above dreadnought. Does anyone have a list of the ships available and their stats? How likely are you to get far enough up the tech tree to see these ships before the game ends?
I rarely build starbases unless I come a cross a resource that hasn't been taken. How many starbases do you build and how many modules do you add to them? Which modules are most beneficiary/important?
huh...that seems pretty simple...I am an idiot. Thank you wanderer.
what's the quickest tech path to corvette? I've looked at a few of the tech tables available, but apparently I'm hopeless at following flowcharts. Thanks in advance.
