Hi Those are good videos, thank you. It shows how people play and what you need to do to stay adrift. It doesnt however address my complaints. In fact, the 2nd video I watched reinforces my complaint. It was you winning on exactly what I have described - aircraft harass. He never caught up to you. When you beat him you had way way way more stuff. The game isnt even close. The fix defence hardspot he built was in the wrong spot that definitely didnt help. The chat says

Thank you for the detailed replies. Im just looking at it from a flow and feel of the game perspective. 1. Dreadnoughts The issue I have with dreadnoughts is that I just expect them to do more. They are that big, they are that slow, they take so long to build and so much resources, you'd expect them to be more useful. Im at odds with a ship that size doing so little. 3 Sentinel turrent can easily take down a dreadnought.
Dreadnought right now is alot of investment and not enough benefit. It should be more useful. It doesnt have to be made the auto-win unit. It really should be more useful in a siege. Right now if someone bunker up you'd be there all day.
I hope someone will read this and give it some thought. 1. Dreadnoughts are just buff, their damage and rate of fire are really underwhelming. Particularly when you are trying to take down fixed defences. A few turrets can take down a dreadnought. Considering the resource and time commitment to build a dreadnought, it really ought to be more effective. At least try increase the rate of fire a little if not damage or both. I think I've found kind of a work around to this problem. If this is a problem for other people that is. Essentially do what the AI does, plot attack runs by using move command. if they are in range they will attack anyway. This way they take less defensive fire and always attack the enemies and structures in its path. Which they attack will be based on the inherent targeting priority. Which seems to be resource collectors.
Well I can tell now that I stopped been able to play a ranked game. 2 waits. 1 over 2 hours, another one over 1 and 15 minutes hours. Neither resulted in a game. lol. GG Some things are not meant to be. hehe
Ah so I have been playing against nothing but AI haha. Kind of guessed but still a little disappointing. I think I did come up against human players twice or something in the first few days since they werent rank 8. And I thought I was good. Haha. There just arent any GOG players I guess. But Im rather impressed with the AI. I've been playing alot of games and Im rank 1 AI conqueror now. Maybe after I max out the stars I will have to wait hours or something for a real player
I've been playing starcraft 2 since just before release and I have to say the game isnt anywhere near as fun to play as this game. Its mainly just build cycles of units and buildings which take pretty much all your time. If you have attention to spare it'll then be used to micro. Units move across the map too fast so its just one big ball of units wondering around. This game makes much better gameplay.
oh our fighters and the AI fighters are just not on the same level. the difficulty level says AI get bonuses I dont know if that's one of them. I thought they just get extra resources. I just move my fighters to the spot and queue an attack move. They'll hit whatever they want to, they wouldnt listen to me anyway... But how could you really be certain the other guy is a 19 year old. They may very well be middle age adults. and 90% is way too high a bar. I dont play many different RTS but the amount of time I have spend playing RTS is enormous. A guide is a good idea but people have to be bothered reading them. Yes I wish that too. Really dont like steam so if its off steam I'll get it off steam. Its interesting though matches always start around the 4 minute mark. Custom game lobby never has an open game. AND Im always fighting rank 8 people and games are very tough and close almost all the time ="=. If I check their profile I see they have played alot of games - more than I have but their win ratios are all 0% which kinda suggest the game is rigged?
yes particularly fighters. but the AI fighters seem to do their job really well which makes me wonder. I wonder if it has to do with my computer been slow. Maybe commands don't get through or the AI behavior for each unit don't get processed fast enough?
I notice the army doesnt respond to command very well. Particularly aircrafts. When I click on a unit or structure to attack it, most of the time it just hovers around it and does nothing. The AI's army however doesnt have that problem. It attacks really well. Is this something I've been doing wrong or can this be fixed?
Can players using GOG Galaxy be matched with players using steam? Can they see each other's custom games in the lobby?
The game hangs after the score screen come up and I click the button "done". This is in the final mission. It took my alot of time and my logistics count was up in the thousand. Has anyone else gotten this?
