Hehe, congrats, you found an integer over/underflow bug.

*Cracks knuckles.* You really should have played the game more before making this post; more than half this stuff is either in the game already or to be added in the expansion.
It´s a pity that ships can´t be individually created, but I´m not missing it badly personally, it just makes ship fights more predictable, which decreases game fun or suspense a little.
Matter of opinion.
dont remember any "red ball" message. maybe i wasnt really paying attention when they sent it. the alterians at least have the "questionable" holographic movies that they send me but the torians and arceans never really say anything witty.
If you're friendly with the Torians, they're good, and they're much more powerful than you, their standard greeting becomes something like: "Hello Terran, are you enjoying that large bouncy red ball we sent you as a gift? I always assumed "Netro Mancer" was based on "Neuromancer." Of course, you can stick anything onto the "mancer" suffix. Also, to the thread starter: what did your response text say?
P.S. Do monsters ever appear without a zoo ?
Yep, although I think the Zoo always spawns three, while otherwise it's random.
I don't think it's a big deal. On small maps you can usually quickly tell where most of a race's planets are just by seeing where they influence. If you don't like this time-consuming way of getting more precise info, just don't do it.
Er...if your remaining planet has enough research to still finish the last tech, you still get the victory. if it doesn't, you have to wait. What's complicated about that?
