And FYI, I use Windows XP - and have done since the early Alpha days... Q

Ahh shut up, I haven't got the energey to fight with you, or to read everything you wrote. I just reported an issue I was having with object bar - and hoped someone might have some useful suggestions. I guess that counts you out. I have every right to be unhappy, as I said, this same issue was present over a year ago. Are you really saying no one at Stardock has noticed it in all this time? I reported a bug then. Do you blame me for feeling that I might be wasting my time doing so again
Hi, well after having had some improved experiences of desktopX - though there still seems to be a way to go before it approaches perfection - I decided to give object bar a go too. I chose a Mac OSX Jaguar 10.3 theme and hoped for the best. Unfortunately I was severly dissapointed. As usual object bar is unable to render itself in the corect position/orientation on my screen. Being an imitation of a mac task bar, I need to have it running along the top of my screen.
Erm... yeah that is weird.... Sorry there is a lot of people posting at the same time. Slight confusion... GJ
Erm... Did my post get deleted? I just wanted to say thanks to this guy. Also if anyone does know where I can get some extra OSX icons, please be sure to let me know. GJ
"Try holding ctrl while dragging them." Yep that worked. Thanks! Now all I have to do is find a nice fat OSX /object/icon package...
"yes the osx icons belong to a dock that was made by jonmega (I think) for desktopx. At least that is probably the case. look here for the original" Hmm, so these icons think they should exist together, and therefore when moved should move together? Erm.. yeah.. that makes kind of sense I guess. Is there any way to change this behaviour and dissasocite the icons from each other so that they can be moved independantly? Kind regards, GJ
Thanks... But that is all kind of vague... 'Thrown around' is hardly the right words for it. Simply, if you will imagine single clicking (or highlighting an icon) and then moving it with your mouse, only to find that doing so caused all the other icons on your desktop to move in also. They do not get randomly 'thrown around', they appear to be attached to a grid, so that moving one causes the entire grid to move. It only happens in desktopX - and I don't have too many applications other than des
Yes I have a mac OSx theme - and I downloaded several individual OSX icons (or objects). I got them from deviant art. I downloaded each object/icon individually (although this is where it get's confusing slightly, since they are not really just icons, they are infact premade objects - and yes I did download them from the desktopx objects section - not the themes section). As I said each object/icon came one at a time and therefore were too small to consitute an entire theme. I
Mmm... Well I can only repeat what I just said above: Search: Go to Bottom Add Reply Create a new post Go to Bottom Show My Posts Show My Watch List by Citizen Raid517 - 12/26/2003 10:59:20 PM Does anybody know why when I import objects into my desktopx environment they appear to become locked or related to several other objects on my desktop I have recently imported, so that when I move one icon, they all move al the same time.
OK I can see the tab for default movement and currently it is set on normal and not locked. In any case as far as I know the 'locked' option simply locks the icons on the desktop so that they can't be moved at all - it doesn't do anything to help the fact that currently if I move one icon, they all move. What I wonder is causing this? Q
Dx config, 'Unlock Icons'? I can open DXconfig, but I can't see that. I can select each icon individually and select 'unlock', but that still has no effect. Please advise. Q
Does anybody know why when I import objects into my desktopx environment they appear to become locked or related to several other objects on my desktop I have recently imported, so that when I move one icon, they all move al the same time. It is a very annoying behaviour. Also is there a way I can hide the right click desktopx menu selections? I mean even the ones to exit desktopx and to restart it? I am building a desktop for my daughter and I don't want these options visible to her.<b
