Oh, bother...CTD when I tried W. Bush/Forbes vs. Kerry/Jackson. Not only did I not get a SmartException report, but my desktop wallpaper disappeared! Not sure what could be causing this CTD... Going to try again.

The opposing candidate moves extremely fast at the start of the turn. Actually, I only get the crash when I try to set up a George W. Bush/Forbes vs. Kerry/Al Gore scenario. Also just had a really nasty crash after I tried to get an endorsement! I know...I know...the game is in first beta. But I have WinXP and I'm not trying to play multiplayer, so I should at least be able to see the map! The game crashes right after campaign setup for me. If you try building a cultural base in an enemy's sector, they will ask you to hand it over. If you refuse, they will declare war on you. A Culture Palace in your own sector that is adjacent to an enemy sector will be quite effective, as it will amplify the influence your system produces. You could build the Culture Palace in another adjacenet sector to the enemy that you don't have a system in, but it won't do as much. I see you've submitted quite a few Cultural Conquests...I
