Yikes!! I guess you knew all about them by then! LOL I forgot that I auto-launched a colony ship and used it to colonize a PQ 14. Nothing like 2000 colonists on a PQ14 to crush morale! Had to destroy the colony and send another colony ship to it. Wasted several turns.

joab: What difficulty/map size/political party/initial picks are you playing? I suggest you play a game with Populist Party and as much Diplomacy as you can start with. Also consider picking Weapons or Defense initially. Play a game on Cakewalk and research Weapons/Phasers as quickly as you can. Build several Star Fighters on one planet while you are in the initial Colony Rush. You should be able to keep out of trouble for a while, but keep an eye on the Diplomacy screen and watch for t
