Are you running one of the Wireless Signal Strength widgets available in the library? I've noticed that at times when I'm not on the network that it's constantly uploading. When I close the widget it stops. Not sure what or why but it may be related to what your seeing.

OK, then it would be (for me) Display Properties - Appearance Tab - WindowBlinds button - User Overrides - Check the "Show Icon in the System Tray" - Double click WB icon - User Overrides - Uncheck "Show User Icon in Start Panel" and Check "Allow Skins to Replace User Icons"

Back in the late 80's Peter Norton was the DOS utilities guru. Not only were the programs useful and well written, but he was available on Compuserve to personally answer questions or help people with problems. I was a big fan of Speeddisk and was a beta tester of version 1. When Symantec bought out the company I tried to be a loyal customer for a few years, but the quality of the product was crap and usually only got fixed just as the next r
Brad, just curious if you know how that will effect programs that are already vector based such as CAD programs. Do you think they'll be able to use some of the built in features of Avalon or would this cause a massive change in the way they approach the interface?
OK, I might of been a little quick on the draw here. I remembered that it was the obskin file not the obbar file and after a little looking I found it under stardock/objectdesktop/rightclick/skins/windowblindskins/currentskin/popup/popup.obskin The lines I edited were ItemIconBuffer_BetweenTextAndIcon=7 ItemTextOnlyBuffer_LeftOfText=30 Now all my text lines up and does not overrun the menu graphics around the icons.<BR
I'm trying to use the current windowblind with RightClick and any text without an icon beside it sits too far to the left. Even the text that has a icon could sit a couple pixels farther right. I remember having to edit one of the obbar files, but I can't recall which one or which directory it's in. Or do I have to edit all of the obbar files? While I'm at it I'd like to add this item to the wishlist. Please put it in the configuration men
Glad I could help. Additional info on services can be found at Link
They are part of the DX theme. If you load the theme you can modify the exiting bars with your own shortcut objects or change the ones already on the bars. The guides will help you to do this as well. It's probably easiest to start by modifying one already on the bar by changing it's target to the program location on your computer. When you get a result you like save the theme, if you get a result you don't like then load the saved version. <img src="h
Yeah Phoon, I agree... I've had a version on each of my last three laptops and if anything they ran faster than with the native theme support. Of course I turn off themes in the services manager (services.msc). Doesn't help to run both systems at once.
That reference is available here is the library. Of course you'll need to have DesktopX installed on your system. Once installed, if your check the Stardock\ObjectDesktop\DesktopX\Docs directory you'll find several useful guides to help create your own DX themes and objects (zoomers).
Semi-patiently waiting........
Look in the wallpapers setion for one called AeroWorld. It has a 1280x800 version in the zip. Pretty nice wall too. Can't remember the author.
My home page is "Wincustomize Forums", has been for a while. RSS Reader starts with windows to keep up with the news.
Docklets should be in zip files. You unzip them into their own directory under ObjectDock/Docklets
OK I timed it, I submitted the reply above at 6:04 EST and it finally updated on the main page list at 6:29 EST
Followed your link but didn't see the Karbonium Skin. Took me to one by McGiff.
I'm not aware of a way to change Windowblinds to msstyles, but you can change msstyles to Windowblinds using the SkinStudio program.
I agree with Corky, moving between pages has been working flawless for the time I've been on today. However, there is still a lag (20+ minutes) between making a reply and having the article list (main forum page) show the new reply in either the time or number.
Kicking #ss and making names!
I'm guessing here but maybe your wallpapers are still in moderation and wil only show if they've been accepted. Keep in mind due to the overwhelming number of wallpapers uploaded not all are accepted.
Seems to be working now. This post showed on the list in just 3 minutes.
I clicked on the more tab on the Internet section and several titles came up that were not previously visible with post times before the first item showing in the short list. When I clicked on the title a forum page was displayed which said the Article Does Not Exist. I was not referring to the previous post about the bug. On the prior item. The list did not show the new comment or the new post time, even though when I clicked on the ti
I posted a couple of comments about 40 minutes ago and the board still does not show anything new since I logged on this morning. Also noticed that the "Article Does Not Exist" items don't show on the regular forum screen but if you click the "more" tab you suddenly have extra titles which give you the Article Does Not Exist screen.
