It would be cool. If you make it as an object anyone who wants to can export it as widget. It might be that you could set it up to download a list of rss sites on some kind of timed interval that is user set. You could hit all the sites on the list when you start up the program and then most of the news sites probably would only need to updated every hour or two and some sites could only be updated once a day. Theme are a little different than windowblinds. Themes are a collection of skins for many different programs such as iconpackager, winamp, sysmetrixs, etc. You'll need to first install the windowblinds program, then you can download a windowblind skin from the gallery. It should have a .wba file extension. If windowblinds (the program) has been installed you should be able to double click on the file and it will automatically install the skin. Then to

You'll need to download the windowblinds program. You can click on the Software tab at the top of the page or you can go to www.stardock.com I recommend you check out the "full boat" Object Desktop which includes Windowblinds along with many other useful programs. If you have any problems with the install check back here and someone will walk you through it.

I'm not sure?.... are you talking as a widget or DX2 object or standalone? I'd like a DX version. Currently I use a standalone program that you can set up to monitor many different feeds at one time. You can find it at www.rssreader.com. Something that could be embedded as an object like that would be real nice.

I've noticed that when I switch from a skin with say a white page background to a skin with a tan page background the Office apps change from white to tan also. The title bar, status bar and scroll bars are skinned. However, the buttons, menu mouseovers etc. do not skin.

On item #4 I minimize Firefox and it does show the screenshot window in the taskbar dock. I'm using version 1.0 of Firefox if that makes a difference. On #5 I have this problem sporadically when I set a standard dock to be "Always On Top" If I set it to normal Z ordering the problem does not appear. I don't really expect it (Firefox) to make any more than maybe 10% market share. The thing is by using it we put pressure on MS to update IE which has really fallen behind since the big wars with netscape back in the 90's. I'll probably migrate back when they do update. Did you try deleting that dock from your list and making a completely new dock with just the systray and no other entrys? Something like the bottom right standard dock on this screenshot

I don't know if it's related but the recent alpha of DX2 seems to causing a lot of problems for people. You may want to uninstall it and reinstall the released version 2.40.035 You'll have to uncheck "Show Pre-Release Versions" in SDC in order to see the official version.

Something I think needs to be added is a link to go back to the point in a gallery you were browsing after you comment on someone's work. Unless I'm missing something you can't use the back arrow, and the only other way out is through the tabs at the top of the screen which means you start over in browsing in that particular gallery. Am I missing something??

Actually NT it looks more like an ObjectBar or DX2 object. You can't get that taskbar look in Object Dock. (At least I havn't figured out how)

It's on my wish list also. I use "Open With" & "Send To" a lot. I would also like to see Tool Tips in the folder listings. Many times I need to check a files date before I edit it to make sure I'm working on the latest version.

If you just purchased Object Desktop, Stardock should have emailed you with your serial number and a link to download Stardock Central. You want to download and install SDC go to Tools in SDC and enter the serial number and other pertinent info as requested. You should then be able to choose the Object Desktop link on the left side of the page which will list the available programs. Just click on the program you wish to install and click the install bu

Just a suggestion, You might want to uncheck the "Show Pre-Release Versions" box in SDC and just install the non beta version 2.40 Uninstall DX2, reboot and then install the released version and reboot. I'm not running the beta and I have no problems with DX2 whatsoever. You shouldn't lose any of your skins when you upgrade. But if you want to be safe, copy your Themes directory under Windowblinds to a safe place, upgrade and then copy them back. By the way, are you sure you had an Object Desktop Subscription? I know Windowblinds sold for @$20 but I paid @50 for OD almost 2 years ago.
