Imo scavangers is really powerfull as it gives +1 to mining. That's right, not 0.1 but 1.0! It's cheap to research too which means you can get it early on. You just need a couple starbases to have basically unlimited resources.

I'm rather let down with the difficulty settings. The AI needs lots of procentual buffs to be a challenge. Which I strongly dislike. I really want the battles to intellectual. If they have just lots of advantages it feels very cheap. Currently playing on incredible about 400 turns in (24 players, 24 player map). The early game was very rough, where I had to fight off multiple AI's. Later in the game, whilst I'm long way from finishing. Haven't seen a
If I conquer a planet and destroy, for example, computer core. I can build it somewhere else again even though I already have one.
Interesting. Now I'm curious how it would perform on a 8 core CPU. If it's a CPU issue at all.
Have the same issue. Turns take a ludicrous amount of time.
What's up. Basically what happens.. whilst playing the game performance just keeps decreasing. After about an hour I have to restart the game because it's running at 20 fps. I have downloaded some custom races as well as ship designs. Playing on immense map size with 36 races including mine. Hey, I've got one more question. Where can I see all available ship designs? When I go to my shipyard, it often says that a new design is available. For example: next to Missile ships category there is a yellow text saying X new is available. I presume this is because I researched a new ship technology so there are more variances of the same ship differently equipped. But I just can't find a button that would allow me to go through available designs. </
Thanks for the explanation! Right, so, if I understand this correctly..+% hull capacity = bigger ships, -% weapon mass = more weapons fit on a ship. Does this mean it's pointless to go +% hull capacity (other than bigger ships) if I don't go for -% weapon mass as well? Confusing mass with weight.
Hey, whats up guys. On Friday I picked up the steam GalCiv 3 gold bundle. My play time so far is about 13h. I think I have a grasp of the basics by now, even though most of the time I still don't know what the hell am I doing. But that's the part of the fun, so, please don't spoil the best tactics/strategy or whatever. So to my question's: 1) Construction cost When building a structure the production cost i
