From the description I'd guess that luck gives you better ods when a random roll is called for (battles and maybe other events).

Just thought I'd finish this off. The problem was, that the ai's didn't have the tech. I thought they did since they were happily allying with each other, but they didn't. :SURPRISED: Thanks for the help.
I can't figure it out. As far as I can see all prerequisites are met. I'll try to experiment a bit more after work today...

Hi all Just bought the game this weekend and I'm thoroughly hooked. So far I'm mostly playing easy games to get the feel after my first game on normal ended in total humiliation... My problem is I can't ally with my friends. As I saw in another thread you have to be close, and I assume the alliance should then be an option in the "speak to" window, but I can't find it. What am I doing wrong. Last just a little comment about the game. I've never seen a game where random
