Has anyone used Resource Hacker? I tried using it to change a few AVIs in the SHELL32.DLL file. It appeared to change okay and I made sure I saved the changes. However, upon use of the XP functions which would use the AVIs, nothing was different. Went back in to Resource Hacker and the changes appeared to not have been made. Working with Microsoft support has proven this to be a problem with user account specific files getting corrupted. Which files and how I don't know as of yet. However, we were unable to duplicate the problem after creating a new admin user account.

Okay gang here's a puzzle. I've got WINXP Home SP1 with all latest updates. P4 2.2ghz machine with 512mb of RAM and 60gig of hard disk. I've changed the usual desktop icons to those supplied with the Chaninja theme. The theme works fine. However, after a day or two, the icons change back to the original XP icons. I've deleted and rebuilt the iconcache.db file. I've made sure the Icon BPP is set to 16 in the registry. I've made sure the theme is saved. Sti
