I roleplay the Phoenixian Domain. A human race originating from the early days of the 21st century Earth. As it so happens, an American corporation found a worm-hole just outside of Earth's orbit. Using civilian produced space vehicles as a colony ship, high paying colonist and thrill seekers jumped at the opportunity to be the first man to settle another world. As the colony ship entered the worm-hole, a huge explosion occured. Earth mourned the thousands of lives lost in the tragic event.

Quick question about modding. This is mostly intended to the dev team. Anyways, would it be possible to mod an additional entry area on ships so I can assign ship captains to them. Or just a place where I can add a ship captain's name.

Just imagin actual using the controler as a lightsaber with rumble in a Starwars game.... I'm a PC user but thats enough for me to start drooling Wii looks good, but when I play my games, I like to just sit on my butt and do as little movement as I can and still have fun. If i want to sweat, I'll go outside and do some actual work. I don't w

Myself, I like 360 because of what microsoft wants to do with it and how they do it. Sure they want to control your living room, but if they are willing to lose alot of money to do it and buy you out, I say go ahead. Sony, well, they also want to control your living room. But the difference is that they want you to pay them your life savings and your unwashed used panties to use for their weird sexual acts (They are Japanese, they do that crazy stuff, if you don't believe me, watch Shocking A

my post above is not directed to anyone in specific. It's more toward the people who whine way too much and throws a fit just because a certain feature they would like is/won't be coming in soon or at all. It comes down to who's does it really belong. I say the Developer because it's their game. Let's just be thankful that they are actually listining to fan. They don't have to and people will still pay for the game as-is. There is alot of games out there that people will buy beca

The developer... They make games they want to make. As consumers, WE buy the games, then WE can Compliment or Whine about it. IF FOR SOME GOD AWFUL REASON you like the game, your happy. IF not, then thanks for coming by.... see your way out will you... If you don't like the game, then sorry, you should have tried out the demo first. Just because a certain feature isn't there that you think should be there, then mod it. In the end, its the developer's game, not ours. <b

I'd like to see an alliance option where I can ask my ally to ally with someone else... Or add an option for a Non-aggression pack where the two parties who sign a non-aggression pack are not exactly allies, but one would not attack the other. but they would not help each other also. It pretty much comes down to "I'm not gonna be your friend if you won't get along with my other friend" option.

Hey Frogboy, btw.. I know this has been said before but I'll say it anyways... You guys are doing a great job. I really appriciate the effort and creativity you and your team put into this game. You guys are a throw back to the days of Sierra when they were still growing and producing great games. I mean that as a compliment. You prove that great games doesn't come with big name licenses or the more $$$ the better the game. I know it's may not mean much, but thank you for what you guys are

It's funny how people just DEMAND things. Maybe if say there is an incentive. Like letting thoe with talents create mods for this game. They would then turn it over to Stardock who will look at it, and then post it for downloads for a fee of about $0.25 to $1.00 american. The profit is then shared between Stardock and the creator of the mod. It's a win-win situation. Well, there's probably legal issues, using copy righted materials like BSG. But those can still be free. But any original

LINUX IS FOR LOOOOOOSSSEEEEEERRRRSSSS....... WINDOWS 3.1 RULES!!! SUXXORRSSS Sorry, couldn't help it. But seriously, I highly doubt any official support for Linux now or ever with Galactic Civilization 2. Who know's though, maybe Galciv 3 might just be written in Java that can then run on multiple OS. But then again, 2012 might just be the end of the world beginning with Gary Coleman crowned Lord Emperor of Terra in 2008.

How bout ship captains. Not heroes, just a superficial add-on where we can add ship captain's names into the ship description and maybe a search where we can search by captains. I would really love to be able to name a captain for a particular ship that is doing good. No bonus attach to captains and THEY ARE NOT HEROES.

A good feature.. But I would add one more.. How making all other non-homeworld planets 0 and then having to scan them before it reveals what planet rating they really are. or atleast an option for this type of gameplay

If you have enough interest to even try the demo of this game. You might as well buy the game. I can assure you, you will love this game. And, if you bought Master of Orion and liked it, you will love this game.

Oh, i forgot to mention the books I was reading recently. Try the Uplift Saga by David Brin. Good book about Terrans being underdogs fighting to survive in a very political and militaristic Galactic Civilization. Another good series is by Michael Gear. He rarely writes sci-fi, but the ones he has is pretty damn good. There's the Spider Trilogy and my all time favorite, the Conqueror series about a man who leads an army againts an entire

I myself like the Empire Trilogy and Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. I consider Asimov the J.R.R. Tolken of the Sci-Fi world... well, actually, I consider Tolken the Asimov of the Fantasy world. yeah, thats more realistic.

Terrans are suppose to be good, but in my games they are always neutral leaning on Neutral. Even on one game they were evil. Why is that? I usually play a custom race, the Phoenixian Domain who at one time was part of the Terrans. Long story short, my civ broke away because it didn't see eye to eye with the Terran government point of view. They being good, we being evil. Now, when I play, the Terrans go neutral or evil.. Most
