Jafo you may be right, but 1280x1024 is an option given as a default. I don't think I'm desperate enough to go any further down - I'll just have to cope. Thanks for the instant feedback guys, much appreciated. MARSh
Thanks, checked that but the colours are still funny. It acts worse when there is a gradient - eg running from green to blue. Instead of being smooth, each shade is identifiable. Having said all that, maybe I should stop whinging and just use skins that it doesn't show on!
hi all, my laptop runs normally at 1600 x 1200 and looks fine. i would like to drop it down to 1280 x 1024, partly becauase the wallpapers look better, but mostly because the text is too darn small. Trouble is that whenever I do that the colours go streaky and blocky instead of being smooth. I am running W2k on a Dell Inspiron 8000. Any help would be most appreciated. Marsh
