Kitty - if you just bought the apps, you will get all updates to them the following year, IIRC, someone can hopefully confirm this. An iconpack is an insane amount of work and you can easily add 10-20 more icons for a Vista pack. Maybe some are on the way. The few I've done has been for Stardock, so if you look through the premium suites, you'll find some more until people release free ones.

It depends on which icons the author includes in the iconpackage. If an author leaves some icons out, they will appear as default when the package is applied on any OS.

1) Icons is a HUGE task. There's a demand for as many icons as possible, especially file type icons as a criteria for a successful pack. And in particular for premium suites. A minimum pack would contain about 50 icons. And then you'd have no file type icons. If we add some standard file type icons, a typical IP would contain 110-120 icons at least. To make these look good, I do them at 512x512 px and scale them down to match the new Vista size. This makes the detail level rich, but it's a lot o

A thing that annoys me in Windows, is that I need to right click to make a new folder. In OSX, I just press shift+command+n and I get a new folder. Can I set a shortcut in KLP to create a new folder in Windows like in OSX? Eg. win+shift+n or ctrl+shift+n?

um...i know plenty of designers that don't go near an apple. does apple dominate the design field? i don't think so. Probably web designers, though some of those are hardcore Mac users too... I've never heard of one advertising company/printing house here in Denmark where the graphic designers didn't use a Mac. I'd say it's the same as always, graphic designers are and will be using Macs as long as they exist.
