hmmm... never heard of that... but I'm certain it can not break a keyboard.
good luck. I hope all turns up roses for you.
that is the way to go. If I could I would repair it for you, however... maybe your keyboard has become untethered, hopefully its something simple like that. Who ever you take it to for the service make sure you let them know you need important files that are on your Hard disk. They can copy them over to another computer or even ghost your entire HD. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0
It sounds as though it is a hardware issue and not so much a windows issue. If you can not use your keyboard to tap the F8 I am affraid it is time to contact your notebook support. You still have warranty?
as yrag says. reboot your notebook. after you see the white line start to cross the bottom of the screen as XP begins to initialize tap the F8 key then you will see an option to restore your computer to a previous configuration. You can also boot into safe mode the same route tap F8 then try the interactive approach and use the start menu to start a restore. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.
My experience is that sys restore does not affect the My Documents folder so if you created something new it would not change or should you have deleted something old it would still be gone. Sys restore does put back uninstalled progs tho.
with XP you have the option of using system restore. You say your mouse works so lets assume you can access your start menu. in the start menu under accessories, system tools select system restore when the program launches select a date and time b4 this occured. If this does not work because you can not access it due to your problems let me know. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALI
"" my my goodmorphing are we not colourful today...
Can you provide more info... what Operating system are you using? do you have administrative rights on the notebook?
if your a member of a domain you would not get the logon screen. if this is not the case then your can do the following to get back your logon screen. Control panel, user accounts, change the way users log on and off select welcome screen.
I think it may be for the following reason. ToonXP uses DesktopX which does not play nice with Active desktop. Active Desktop is enabled if your hiding icons or showing web content. I do believe it is in the readme somewhere. So I guess since it is documented you would say that what your experiencing sounds like normal behavior. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" AL

here is a quote for the "server admin" dolby Next time if you feel some one is ripping graphics or something else from another mod/webpage/program/etc and not giving proper credit send a PM or Email to Kudane or Myself or even to the author. From this point on all public posts about this will be deleted. I do not want to discourage people posting their work in fear some one might call them out. Speaks volumes does it not? Wow very cool indeed... are these features available to skin browser?
I do believe that all those test threads you see have something to do with it. T-Man and his two new co-horts are recoding the site to add more features so I would assume that during that process some things will go buggy or unmaintained until its done.
