Not only that but most copy protection formats used reduce the quality of the music which in turn has forced Sony and Phillips the owners of the Compact Disc patent to refuse music publishers to emblazen their discs with the CD logo. Seeing that the music that can not be ripped will not make it on the air at our stations that also will hurt the artists. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" b

Copy protected CD's is going to hurt the radio business. I work for the largest chain of stations in Canada and at the HQ in Toronto we convert all CD's that come thru the door into ... you guessed it MP3 and MP2 formats... not only that but we re encode our broadcasting for the internet into MP3 once again so that it streams quickly with no need to Pre Cache. If we can't rip the CD's we get for on air play they will not make it on air. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?C
How does skin browser figure in? why I am in a lot of those stats... I regularily use 3 OS's and 3 browsers ( one being skin browser )
Chris Scott ( CEO of Snoopsoft creator of Dashboard ) an overworked trusting all around nice guy. goodmorphing quick to be a friend and allways has something good to say ohh and geez a great memory! Bangkokboy valid and meaningful words, a whity rocket scientist. Sure knows how to procrastinate... wheres that dashboard? Jafo eager to help anyone even strangers asking about his litestep themes.
hey thats a pretty neat idea... sorta like a rookie of the day.
if your downloading Icon packages you only need icon packager... no zip is needed. If your downloading zipped up icons then any zipper should do... however I prefere WinRAR it can open anything! even Tarballs... </A
in other words it is dynamic.
I would hazard a guess that because the nature of windows is to look at the CD in the drive for the icon... when the drive is empty or the CD does not specify one... it reverts to the default.
hehe... me\runs and hides
took = taken? me/runs and hides
Thanks for the suggestions goodmorphing and for info JamMeister33
hmmm... maybe I have a hope that T-man could find the time to fix it based on the fact that the previews do not work. I will make an attempt to contact him.
well I tried it but it did not change the skins like jam said...
hmmmm... thank you JamMeister33 I'll give it the good ol' college try. then change back... maybe T-man can fix it up for me
good point... thank you very much, we both know what a precious gift we have been given...
Well I just would not want the nic change to be in vain. If it was not retroactive then there wouldn't be much point to it. I would like to stick with something as close to Static as possible. I would continue to sign everything... §tatic
Yes he will be 3 weeks on thursday. want some cute shots... a few raw ones to begin with but some cute ones after the first few. http://www3.sympatico.ca/william.leblanc/page1.html
Nathan is doing wonderful... thank you for asking goodmorphing ... if I posted this thread as anyone other then §tatic would you have know? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered b
later... hmmmm I am certain it was taken at the time.
Well.... I suppose I could do what I have done on some other sites.... citatS Jafo do you know if this will correct and apply to skins that have already been uploaded?
A user recently let me know that my nic messes up the file... at first I did not understand what the heck he ment then I realized that all of my Dashboard skins have broken previews (thumb nail enlarged image) as you can see the example here. my § is shown as %A7 and a dead preview image. I don't want to change my nic to fix the images... I would have taken Static originally but even tho I was a fairly early Wincusto user it was already taken. *sigh* skins.stardock.com/
note that this paragraph was only 5 rules in... not alot of reading to get there moshi
5. LIMITATION ON REVERSE ENGINEERING, DECOMPILATION, AND DISASSEMBLY. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Product, except and only to the extent that it is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation. this is from the win2k eula however you will find similar statements in all MS products. They do not permit you to change anything in their code. Unless the law explicitly states your allowed too. <A HREF="https:
You are correct about the GPL to be included I will update my linux themes that use the KDE likeness with the GPL... will you stop using your version of windows now that you have violated your EULA? By hacking the dll's to modify your computers appearance.
Emulating OS's is an acceptable practice with the exception of using Mac's logos. Spidy is fan art however I would not argue it as still being under copy right and would not protest its removal. Was one of my early skins and quite horrid... should have been moderated in the beginning... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/i
