Here you are paying through the nose for gas Who's paying through the nose? Last time I filled up my car (about two weeks ago) I spent $17 on gas. I'm still running 1/4 tank in my car. When gas was 50 cents cheaper, I was paying about $12. So it cost me an extra five bucks. That five bucks would have been spent on something like cigarettes (which I don't smoke anymore due to health and cost) junk food or something else. Given that

Wow, a comment that I can actually agree with Marvin on. Most Americans don't realize how good they have it with gas prices nowadays. Like Marvin said, factor in inflation etc. and gas is still a pretty good deal. You expect to pay a buck a gallon for gas forever? Go into a local grocery store and look at what you pay for a gallon of MILK and then you tell me what's expensive. If people are *that* worried about the price of gasoline, mayb

I'd like to chime in to say that I actually trolled that comment from Brad. In my opinion, it added exactly zero to the ongoing discussion, and was akin to my five year old running into the house saying that his brother wouldn't share. I don't care if Brad made this site, or if he's an admin...but he's made a few comments on articles that were nothing short of just poking his head in the door and saying "Fuck you". And those are the kinds of replies

I'm not a very patriotic person, but there are a lot of patriotic people in the world (not just Americans). To say that one group of people cannot show their patriotism by waving their countries flag is absurd. If non-Americans are so sensitive that some flag-waving is going to set them off, I think they have some issues to work out. If Iraq or Afghanistan were participating in the summer games, they should be able to feel as patriotic as us, or any

I don't think I'm going to vote for either of them. I may vote "None of the above" like I did in 2000, because I don't like *any* of the candidates. --B

Two tests, fairly close results. A little differentiation on the economic policy scale, but they both seem to think that I would make a good Libertarian. -- B

This shows I don't own very many tools. Gasp! Someone help smartaz right away! We need tools here! Nobody should be without tools. When I walk into Sears I want to buy one of everything, even if I don't need it. -- B</font

You got something against peas, Mr Frog? Peas are one of the most vile things for food in the world. My mother made me eat them when I was a kid, I absolutely hate the fucking things. Bless my wife, she never cooks peas because she knows I hate them. -- B
