Once a trade good is built by one race no other race can build it because that would break the monopoly owned by the builder. That is fine, except when one is at war with someone there is no incentive to honour such agreements. So my idea is that if you are at war with another race, it should be possible to try to build (for your own use only) any trade goods your foe owns. Should peace break out before the TG is finished, tough, all the production would be wasted.
Sou
okay, i assume your asking why doesn't the main editor see your galciv/mods folder correct? you got to tools>options: click galciv path browse, then select your mod folder same with altarian prophecies
Well, exept of an error (confusing and long) massage, it then only sees the mod folder and gives me the same error message every swich i do.
looks like it works fine to me, it's used to switch between mods easily like myships to ascended evangelists
believe if i udnerstand what your saying you click on browse and point it to your mod folder manually
OK, now I do not know what you mean
and i'm not sure about your last question, could you restate it
I think you refer to the second line? When you start the Writer the first thing that pops up is a thing called "Data file management" What is that good for?

So how do i make it (the Editor) to see the mod folder. When i keep the set as it is it dont see it. That data file editor sees it but the main editor don't. And what's that mod manager about? since it appears to be not usable at the moment, i have to ask Oh and the Info text at the standart ID always shows the this sets the Pol Party ID text
I still have an assload of questions, but it's probably best that actually complete a game first, before spamming the forums
You ain't spamming, this are best ways of lerning the fine tunes of this game, asking the "veterans" and playing youself. We will reply to your questions when we are able to.
Although I would like to mention that after playing for a little bit, this is an awesome, with a really lousy manual. Barely even gotten into a real game yet,

normally all plamnets below PQ 15/16 take more then they give the first years. You may also consider increasing the empirewide social spend rate, that normally gives a small econ boost too. The planetary spending mainly changes due building and pop i think
When I start the game I set both my tax rate and my gov spending rate at 50%.
Its no good idea to raise tax that early (beware moral)
What I don't understand is why my expenses on new planets are almost as high as they are on earth, when I'm not even building anything on them?
the expanses also depand on the PQ, the lower it is the more money is used for upkeep of yout colonies. You also should not build ALL improvements opn your worlds. On
Can also get this problem if parties are not sequential....
Yea there is a gap between the standard parties and the Rednecks (another early mod), after who the HE are placed, you have to scroll down. I'll fix that gap with my new pack. and again the Halutian Explorers are NO REPLACEMENT, as some others they are a new party [Message Edited]
The only improvement that might be a little to cheap to build is Enhanced Environmental Control that increases PQ 15%
It is already more expansive then Life Seeding and habitat Imp. which do 10%, but I'll think about it
