Well, I just joined because I couldn't leave a Red Sox fan on his own in this hour of need, thanks to the bizarre decision to keep in Pedro Martinez in the eighth. Anyway, I was always the last kid picked too :) My apologies if you want to remain on your own especially as my score won't help much as it takes me weeks to play one game! Shouldn't have had such a good recruiting spiel ;)

Ah right, it's a short-term thing then. I'd noticed the research screen 'number of turns' remaining and the economics on the domestic screen were out immediately after a reload. Just part of that, then, so no problems. Thanks for the explanation and the empire invite. I'll wait to see for a while on the latter but will bear it in mind :)
Well, I've just finished my first game and submitted to the Metaverse and since then I've actually been looking at some of the guides around. It never occurred to me to build more than one starbase in a sector :SURPRISED: Anyway, I like to play the McDonalds of space so Mercantile and extra picks on mostly trade and influence and I'm wondering if the influence bug of re-setting after saved games is effecting me. I actually don't understand what is meant by this bug -
