It's only happening on the explorer status bar in Internet Explorer 6 on some sites with some skins. But yes, I agree with you that it's funny that it happens on SDC Kind of like the barber's kids needing haircuts or the shoemaker's kids needing shoes. I'm taking skins apart now trying to figure it out because it's bugging me. Might be a waste of time to some I guess, but I figure I'll learn m

If you click on my name you can see a screenshot of my problem. On quite a few of my skins for WB, some areas of the status bar are just not skinning correctly... there are parts of it missing. It seems to be a random occurence depending on what type of window is open and which skin is loaded. The skin in the screenshot is Stellar Hub by starone, but this same problem is occurring with other skins as well. I've tried sorting the problem out in SkinStudio Pro, but can't seem to find the
This is the Stardock skin development guide link: http://www.windowblinds.net/skinning/ It's the best explanation I've found yet for the differences from a technical standpoint. The reference sections are also really helpful for scripting info when you're developing a skin.
My single greatest act of stupidity still haunts me in my dreams sometimes. When I was in the Army stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, one of the perks was being able to skydive for sport on weekends very inexpensively. Reserve and National Guard pilots needed the flight time so the flights went on anyway, and you could jump as many times as you could land, repack your parachute and get back on a helicopter or plane. Several of us had hundreds, even thousands of jumps this way, and though not careless,
In a perfect world, more people would seek responsibility, or at least take responsibility for their actions. Until that utopian ideal is attained, those who willingly give of themselves to help others and do their best to maintain order and reduce chaos have my respect and gratitude. I haven't been coming here that long, but long enough to appreciate the hard work and positive results of the efforts of all of you. Thank you. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gi
I should say confirmation/warning, rather than error received when I deleted the PerApp exclusion in my post above.
I don't understand why it was excluded either, but it is a default exclusion by Stardock, according to the error I got when I finally resorted to trying to delete it from the PerApp list and experiment with a modified exclusion, which also didn't work. More important to me is that neither the default exclusion, nor any of my subsequent attempts at a modified exclusion prevented WB from skinning the app and causing PSP to hang. Is no one else out there having a problem with this? <img
I hate to think that PSP will be auto-exluded in future builds, because I won't be using any version that won't skin the program I use the most. That's why I went through so many gyrations to check this thing out. I have Photoshop 7, but I cut my teeth so to speak on PSP, and so I still use it a lot because it's still more comfortable for me. I
I posted on stardock.windowblinds.support. No response yet. But then I posted late last night, too. Is there a better place to post it?
Since I've updated via SDC to WB4.19[b].003 I have had serious problems with PSP 7.04 when any WB skin is loaded. At first I thought it might be because I had PSP on my Per App exclude list and WB appeared to be skinning the PSP window anyway. But then I noticed that the latest build had put PSP on the exclude list by Stardock. SO then I thought it might be the fact that PSP was then effectively being excluded twice, and removed my PerApp exclusion. But that didn't help at all. After
IMHO, one fairly large obstacle to your suggestion would be to come up with a practical way to implement it. Colors can be difficult to categorize, and as you implied in your last post, there is the issue of secondary, tertiary, perhaps even more colors in a single theme to deal with. And what do you do about compound colors such as blacks, grays, silvers, browns and metallics, not to mention gradient fills? This is further complicated by the effects used beyond just hue or chroma such
Well your link gave me this result, "Cannot find any information on this news item! News Board," which I would have to agree is not very interesting. I would be interested in seeing the original source, however, if for no other reason than to see why you're so upset.
