I don't know you or your daughter, or anything about your relationship with her, but I can tell you from my experience at home and with other friend's experiences, we haven't found any substitute for honest, open communication and active personal involvement with our kids. I don't mean to imply that you don't have that kind of relationship with your daughter; only that in my opinion, some of the controls and monitoring software you seem to be looking for can and will be viewed by a lot

Dejavu....You are now entering a dimension...didn't we just have a go at this in another thread lol... yep... Definitely some crossover here https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WC&id=244531#244600
I've been playing with the new Rainlendar most of the night, updating a whole slew of Rainy's to take advantage of the added functionality... I love the To Do list feature in this version! However, it occurred to me as I was doing this, that the majority are not likely to do as I am and modify the files on their own for their personal use, especially since it means an additional graphic, or graphics if you try to take advantage of all the updated features. They'll soon be clamoring for
I know it lost out to bootskins in the last poll, but I'm thinking that it might be a real help to a lot of people both skinners and the public, to have a Rainlendar section. With the new version of Rainlendar there is increased functionality and additional graphics in a Rainlendar skin for the new version, and updating Rainy's made for the old version the way things are now would mean a whole lot of Sysmetrix skins going up and down through the portals. I realize that separating the
I agree though, the tiltwheel is awesome Yes... I love being able to scroll horizontally I'll keep hunting, and if I find anything, I'll post it on the board.
Actually, it's not hard to understand, but unfortunately, from what I have been able to find out so far, the simple answer is "no." I have been hunting and watching forums for the same thing and have come up dry so far. I really like the mechanical improvements to the mouse, especially the tilt-wheel technology of the mouse wheel, but the Intellipoint 5.0 software really is a step back from version 4.1.
From the What's New Page at Rainy's site: 28.1.2004 Bug fix edition #1: Rainlendar 0.19.1 This one should behave better if you are upgrading from older version of Rainlendar. You can just install the new version on top of the old one. No language changes in this version. Note about the new locations of the ini-files: If you do a clean install, Rainlendar.ini, Events.ini and Todo.ini are saved to you application data folder (%appdata%). However, if you have Rainle

WrecklessEric, No hard feelings whatsoever Thank you.
You didn't indicate which version of windows you were using, but if you are using Windows XP, you can use Microsoft's Power Toys for Windows XP. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp The TweakUI.exe power toy will enable you to toggle (show/hide) any of the main system icons, including the recycle bin. It will also let you access a lot of other hidden user settings. There are also powertoys for other versions of windows. Just go to the MS home page for
WrecklessEric, If you somehow inferred anger from my posts on this thread and the others, then I would have to say that you are mistaken. I was not angry, nor do I believe my posts indicated any anger. I used polite language, with no inflammatory words, vulgarity, symbolic vulgarity (ie s@#%***) or any language inappropriate to a reader of any age. There was no "attack" of any kind in any of my posts. Please read my post(s) again, and feel free to email me [email protected] if
Typing "emotipad plus" in the search window of Google produced this result, http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Emotipad+Plus which has 2700 hits for emotipad plus, including the link to the download site as the first hit, and the link to the developer's site as the third hit. Google is very easy to use and very productive. Please try to help yourself sometime. Essencay gave a direct answer to your question in this thread in under 35 minutes. That's a p

Sorry I misunderstood. I would guess the reason is IE + Spybot S&D + Google toolbar is free, and a one year subscription to STOPzilla is: Price before rebate: $29.95** Price after rebate: $19.95. Explains why it's not more popular to me.
From the StopZilla Ad at the link posted above: Monitors your system while you surf the web and destroys popups before they open. Speeds up your surfing by preventing popups from eating up your bandwidth. Configurable warnings alert you when a site attempts to open a popup. Not exactly bloatware, and by the way, I haven't seen a popup ad since I installed it a month ago. Just the facts.

Have you emailed stardockabout your problem? [email protected] They are usually very responsive in my experience. You can also try the windowblinds support news group at stardock.windowblinds.support. You can also try the stardock chat room at irc.stardock.com. There may be someone there that can give you some immediate help if you need it.
Shameless nailed it. "A blind pig finds an acorn every once in a while." - Author unknown to me. Glad you got it sorted out.
Fair use applies to how I as an individual, educator, student, researcher or reporter may reproduce a copyrighted work. Distribution of that reproduced intellectual property is strictly limited to those purposes. I personally won't engage in any use outside of that, or aid or abet others in violating intellectual property rights. It's that simple to me. If I see something I believe to be a violation of someone's IP rights, I will e-mail an admin. That's my "job" as a community member.
Have you checked the work area settings in the DX configuration dialogue for the theme? I've had a a few themes with some odd settings in there. This is especially true for themes which were made for a higher resolution than my computer was set at, or had been converted from a higher resolution. You can check the settings by switching to edit mode, then right click on the tray icon, and click on Configure Desktop X, then click on the Work Area button. I also had one theme wher
Echoing the sentiments above, I have been an Object Desktop subscriber for several months and couldn't be happier. No worries at all about spyware, adware, or flooding your mailbox with spam. The products are truly some of the best value I've ever received, and I buy a LOT of software, both personally and professionally. Fair warning, the one weakness of Stardock products that I have noticed is that documentation (manuals, tutorials, etc.) is not all it could be. They do make up for
Actually, that 70 percent mark being passing or average in school is not uniquely American. Give or take a couple of points, it's a common standard in many countries, and for good reason. On a standard multiple-choice test with 4 choices per question, someone who selects their choices completely at random would be expected to select the correct answer 25% of the time. Allowing for this, people who have been exposed to and taught the material are actually expected to do better than this random
Just thought I'd offer my 2 cents as one who is relatively new to the site after only 6 months, is an Object Desktop subscriber but not yet a WinCustomize subscriber, and who is still learning and wanting to become an active member of the community by hopefully soon submitting my own skins, and will then be subject to the ratings. I have not yet been able to rate anything, and even if I had been permitted, I would likely have refrained from doing so because I have seen so much controver
