I got it through Digital Download the other day - here's a copy of the text they send you with regards to 'how it works' - and I bolded the bit that addresses your specific concern :) "Thank you for ordering Sins of a Solar Empire! To install your game you will first need to install Stardock Central (SDC) from the URL above. After you've installed the application, please follow these steps: 1) Along the left-side of SDC, click Games. 2) Now, in the lower-right c

Best that I can tell (and I am new to this game), your political control is based solely on your morale, and has nothing to do with your behaviour? What I mean by this, is that if you pick pacifist and obliterate your competition with huge armada's, no one in the senate is going to care as long as your morale is high... Assuming this is true, I've got some interesting observations on the starting political party you choose: First I looked at what it would cost in ability points
Ray, Cool, thanks for that! I must confess I didn't actually check to see whether it corrected itself later on... (my bad) On a slightly related note, is there a particular reason why the game uses "0 turns", 'cause I still have to press the turn button to get it? LOL (I was just starting to think that there might be some confusion between "1 turn to go" and "0 turns to go"...) Thanks again for the replies! DtM.
Quick response as ever Ray, cheers... Re: my first point, I did a quick test and it was the research that 'lost' a turn... At the point I saved I had just researched a tech, next one in 1 month. Upon loading this game, the next one was showing as 2 months... I guess I have to remember to sa

If I save a game on a turn when I have built something, and then reload, the item that was previously built, now shows '0' turns and hasn't been built until I press the turn button again... (and it definitely is one turn on from when I saved the game! Also, I just won a game with a cultural victory, but I couldn't submit it to the metaverse bacuse the site was down. Upon loading the end game save, my cultural victory progress is showing 63%
Thanks for the welcome peeps :) I also have to say that I'm amazed at the support for this game through Stardock... I'm still languishing in the dark ages with my 56K modem at home, but being able to download all the patches and a free expansion after buying it... my hat's off to the people who made this game, such product support is a truly rare thing these days. Oh and that morale hit you get from overpopulation had me stumped at first... ...but I'm over t
Dear all, Just a quick howdy from a new member... LOL I've been a turn-based strategy fan for years, but I've only just discovered GalCiv (I don't know, all that time spent on the Apolyton Civ boards and I never noticed it :notsure: ) I've played all the Civs (including SMAC) to death, so I was looking for some alternative entertainment... I played the demo, read some of the amazing strategy advice and now can't stop playing :D I finally managed t
