Yes, Windowblinds works as intended 100%. The explorerpatcher is something extra to bring back the old style taskbar. But in the 24h2 update Microsoft removed the old code so now a lot of things have changed. I also tried the start 11 and it just needs a little bit of modification to become exactly like the old taskbar. There are several projects that are made to bring back the old taskbar feel. Both are free but none of them is able to do a perfect job. One is the explorer pa

Before the upgrade to Win 11 24h2 everything was fine and good enough. Windowblinds 11.06 and the latest version of EP worked well together before the Win 11 upgrade. But after the upgrade to win 11 24h2 there is an issue with skinning of the taskbar. A portion of the taskbar gets ignored. Are there any tips on how to resolve such an issue? Moved to Windowblinds Area
I found it, all done.
Is it possible to make an attempt to resize the taskbar even more from start11. Give me the registry edit to do so and it should then solve the issue for me.
I am testing the products on Windows 11. Windows 11 is very different than the old versions of Windows so it is not easy to get the same style back. I was able to get all the settings that I want back with Start11 and WindowBlinds 10.89 back plus patch explorer which is not a Stardock product. But Window blinds 10.89 is built for Windows 10 so it still has some transparency. WindowBlinds 11.02 solves that issue but does not have option to resize the Taskbar.</p
Nevermind, I figured out how to remove the shadow pixel from skinstudio and now all is working well. I think this product deserves 10 / 10 but I did not feel good support from any of the support personal. However I like the managers who responded here and made it nice and personal. Thanks to all and goodbye.
Is it possible to get the exact solution on how to remove the shadow from an already made skin. I like Acrylic 7. I like to remove the shadow pixels from it. Can you just tell me where to try from? It seems to be complicated to make a full theme.
Well the problem is that the pre pixel causes the window do maximize behind the taskbar (as mentioned in 1st post, if the window is restored then maximized again then it opens normally but not if it launched as maximized.). Can this be edited in SkinStudio. I have been using it for a couple of things and it would be great if you give me tips on how to get rid of the gap.
I have updated the response above. Please test the two themes to see if it also causes a gap. I did not test all of them but "Precision" for example works normally.
The gap does not happen with all the styles. It happens with styles such as Acrylic 7 or Echo.
I found the cause of the issue and it is a setting in WindowBlinds. It is very disappointing that no one new it. I turned on the option: Do not use per pixel frames even if the style supplies them I use it because it leaves a gap and does not reach the edge of the top of the screen for windows that are not maximized. So it looks like it is either or. Unless there is another solution that will allow the windows to reach the top of the screen when not maximized.<
Thanks to all that gave me tips. I am done here. I apologies for the dry comments. I am just nervous about the world affairs and the election does not seems to be going in favor of the good people.
Is there an alternative to Window Blinds? Like a competitor? It would be easier for me to do that rather than to try and solve the issue through this type of support. All feedback that I am getting back does not suit me. I used to be a Microsoft Support specialist and I don't like these methods.
I unloaded the theme on Win 10 and it worked normally again. So it is bug from WB. So..........
I know that the Windows 10 that I am using is not the recommend version, However, the issue is also occurring on Windows 8.1 and both are 64bit. It is on WB 10.82 . As for conflicts. I did install some patches (including UX theme patcher) to use 3rd party themes before I found WB. On Windows 10 I removed them because the 3rd party themes caused major issues with the taskbar and then I just stayed with WB by itself. On Windows 8.1 I have UX-styles installed and some edi
You are asking too many questions. I have clearly said that I am using WindowBlinds. This program has existed for over 15 years. I does not matter what version I am facing the issue with or Version of Windows. I said it is happening in 2 of them and that is enough. The problem is happening with all the default styles that is coming with the program. Try to not delay this anymore and just tell me if you know the solution or not or go an learn more about how to sup
When opening maximized windows including explorer the ignore Taskbar and opens to the edge of the screen but the taskbar is in the front. If I restore the window then maximize it, then it will stop at the Taskbar as it would normally do without Windowblinds themes. This is happening on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Is there a known solution for this?
