I was wonering about that, seems like a waste of their resources.

The is talk about a 1.21 vers, but my guess is it will be released with the retail AP.
I think that by using sigs we could improve the way of recruiting without spamming.
I agree, and I think one recruit sig per thread is sufficeint. :)
I should also add that this is early game. Once I have Diplomacy researched, I set 100% socail to ge Diplo Trans. After that, I'm running a 15% militatry/25% socia/60 Rresearch spend rate when I make money (adjust the tax rate and spend rate).
Error, this game can not be submitted as this feature is still in beta testing.
I have not heard of this either. Are you playing on the campaing?
I tend to set research to 100% and rush buy colony ships as I need them. Generally, I get 2-4 planets when starting (Large/Rare). With my research so high, I can compete with the AI in resecpt to Economy and Diplomacy techs. As I am playing at maso now, I expect to be behind, then again at Tough, I found this to be the case as well. If you concentrate on the yellow and green techs, the AIs will trade you for military tech. In the mean time, bribe them to keep them happy.
anti matter missils
I cannot say enough about how these will keep you out of war. The way the boost your military rating is great. Helps to keep the AI from delcaring war on you.
I have had the Arceans doing the Party Palace bit to me in my latest AP games. Luckily, I was able to grab the many of the Influence wonders and could easily combat their attempts. However, they had many influence heavy SBs in multiple sectors.
I think Stardock said you could submit twice, and it would keep the higher of the two scores. Doing so would still only net you one game though.
I have heard this as well.
I haven't had it happen in AP, but I have seen a lot of revolts to the other empire tpyes. Usually it happens after I invade the last system though. :notsure:
I destroy every minor that appears, if I can. It's like a free planet. :)
Just giving this a little bump to collect our stray members. :)
Aaragorn, what Mindshock means is when you send the colonyship to the star with the planet you already own, it should show the colonyship in orbit around it. Then move your mouse over the planet you want to put them on, even if there are colonists on it. The ship should appear to the lower left hand corner of the planet. Then click it as if you were colonizing a new world. I hope that helps. :)
I'd want both. If you flip an AI planet, they tend to strip them, so if you shove off the majority of the pop to a colonyship, you can bring the morale up until you have enough improvement to put them back. I would like to have the extra ship type available for late game colonizing. [Message Edited]
Does that actually replace the standard colonyship, or do you get both?
You're not too far away from me either, Dan. :)
While it take a little time, you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to load people.
Greetings Droid5150!! I've asked Mindshock to give you access to our private forum. You should be able to see it soon. :)
Welcome Athilla! Make sure you join us over at our Empire thread and at the private forum here: http://diplomats.galciv.org/forum/index.php Once you register there, Theoden will give you access to our forum. :)
Ok. For a while I had to shut down galciv after I won, then restart it and then resubmit. I read somewhere that galciv looks for a net connection when it loads. I really don't know what to look for in the debug.err file, but I've been told to look at it before. If the problems persists I would reccomend emailing CariElf about it. She helped me when I was having errors.
Merasmus, did you register your player? YOu have to have that setup before you can submit. And about the browser, I don't think that would affect your submissions, as long as it isn't running in the background. --------------------------------------- Join the Galactic Guardians! SLW, I noticed that too, but I didn't think the Researched mattered as much as the Discovered. That number stays the same. I haven't noticed if the Tech score goes down after a reload.
I was having problems submitting after going to 1.2 as well. The information that is sent to the Meta changed between 1.13 and 1.2 and that change made my firewall not like the data exchange. I have to turn it off before sending, and that seems to fix the error. I hope that helps.
Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain had a well rounded espionage system. You could select certain events like inciting revolts, or stealing technology or ships. Once a mission was selected, it was funded and took time to be completed like a social or military project in galciv. It required more managing than the current system, but you could also fund anti-espionage programs to minimize the AI's epsionage effect on you.
