Reply to Eliminating the forums in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Well seen as the majority of the 'bugs' in the forum (if not all of them) are now fixed is this not just a tad ridiculous, even bordering on overreaction? I dont remember seeing one post where the user stated they wanted the forums shut, do you? Yes the forums are not the best out there even compared to the old GCI forum, however they are used by a large number of people who enjoy posting here day in day out so why the talk on removing that aspect of the community spirit? I

Actually Frogboy the post would not have been necessary if requests *off line* had been resolved. It was a lack of this happening that lead to the post! if you take the time to check back through your records you will see that i have been a devout follower of Stardock and always praised all aspects of the company. Strange that for the last 3 years i have had nothing but praise and since the issues here have been rectified i have once again helped and backed-up Stardock. So you think

Well seen as how my moderation powers have now been stripped as the people at Stardock did not like my post i guess its down to you DK. Its a pity it had to come down to the post but seen as no one was responding to *off line* requests for fixes i felt something had to be done. if the loss of my moderating abilities is the result of getting the issues fixed then i have served my purpose here. To make things easier on both of us i suggest posting the name of the mod we are testing first and then editing the post later to say whether or not it has been approved/rejected. That will stop us from testing the same mod twice. To extend on DK's post above, we will be rejecting instantly any mods (ie logo's & portraits) that obviously have copyrighted materials in them. As for the MV scoring.. Well we cant win them all i guess There have been a lot of posts complaining that the recount seems to have been 'selective' in who it recalculated the points for. However seen as i dont know the ins and outs of the process i cant really comment too much on that. El Conqwest, the reason behind the 'moan' is more aimed at the lack of response, at times, on any errors found here than at the company as a whole. If you take the time to use the other forums Stardock have (ie the wincustomize site) you will see that there are not the same issues present there as here. All i am asking for is the same consistency we have come to find in the othere sites.

The first one i changed was the Drengin music so that the 'Imperial_March_Rage_Mix' plays when they appear in the diplomacy window. FYI it sounds seriously good The other one i altered was the Yor so that 'machinae_supremacy-attack_music' plays for them! The opening "the Human race was doomed to extinction today.." seems to fit perfectly with the Yor LOL

Most of them dont work correctly at present Not sure if and when they will ever get fixed. Playing level appears to be one of the major broken medals at present, where for some strange reason it doesnt update to your most used level!!
