Mino there is no main difference. I take it you are referring to the Metaverse right? If so the Emperor will normaly set a few members to the senate position for various reasons which he will usually share with the empire in your thread or on your website.
Nasty.. Please be patient, i amsure one of the tech crew will help you as soon as possible. However the guys only work Mon -Fri so wont be today im affraid.. DG
The iconian/torian strategy seems to be let us make them sorry they are at war with us by having them commit wholehanded genocide until they beg for peace Sorry the 'bugs' (hate that name) may be real but the above comment had my in stitches <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congr
Tech receipts from espionage dont start coming in till later in the game ( and it is usually much later in the game). Having the 'Luck' trait is also bennificial to this as well i believe.
I believe it dependds on the difficulty level you are playing at the time. The lower the difficulty the more 'stupid' the AI so expect to see things like that amongst others. DG
Welcome Coolrush There's no rush to get into the MV
Flea that was a good thing you did
And to achieve 'close' you normaly need to have a trade route with them
Dang. Double post due to timeout...
Not had aproblem annihilating them though
Hi Evan, Yes you can reset the videao settings. just do the following: - 1. Got to \My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 2. Open 'Prefs.ini' in a text program 3. Look at lines 9 - 13 and alter to this... DisplayWidth=1024 DisplayHeight=768 ColorDepth=32 Fullscreen=1 HardwareMouseCursor=1 That sould reset things for you. DG
According to the latest consensus it does not matter what mods you add to the game. As soon as you click Metaverse game the game's mechanics will not use any mods and only a basic setup. This is not likely to change in the near future so you have two choices.. Mod your game and dont submit, or use an unmoddified game and submit your scores. It depends on what you feel is a good return for your time playing <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL
Yup its being worked on.
Nothing i know can cause this. I know it is annoying but please be patient as the Stardock crew do not 'officially' work weekends so you may not get an answer until monday. DG
Actually this idea has some merit in the begining the races only had 'Stargates' which could travel instantly between two fixed points. Seems as though they gae up on this technology when it bacame obvious that taking weeks travelling via FTL was the better option <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Gasp.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
Hopefully a lot less time than it took to answer your post LOL

If you have SDC load in Smart Exception as well as that gives out loads of info on the cause of the crash
I for one applaud the fact that you do not use copy protection. I have already copied the two disks that came with the CE so i can store the originals in their box. I am saying this to prove that your system works as i have not yet found a game that cannot be copied via one or more medias out there in the WWW! If anything knowing you can easily create a working backup of your games is what made me become a devout follower of Stardock in the
btw i think you need to install the bonus stuff. Then update to 1.0x
or go to the downloads section here and manualy d/l the patch
Try here: - \My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 You will find the file 'Prefs.ini'. Open this in a text editor (ie word) & line 9 & 10 set your screen res: - 9. DisplayWidth=1024 10. DisplayHeight=768 Also delete any raceconfig files in this area too and this may stop your second issue. Not sure about that one though
Here's what others have done: 1) Go to https://www.stardock.com/support Link and get your SN emailed to you. 2) Copy the GalCiv2 SN from the email (it was different from the one I already had) and paste it into the serial number box 3) Download new ship components and desktop theme if this does not work please use SDC, go to chat area, enter #galciv and ask Milksama, Kim, CariElf (moderators) for assistance.
