Does anybody know what this actually does?:
You could try, if it's a desktop turn it off, unplug it and hold the start button in for 10 seconds. (Win10 64bit Home) Looks like the StartMenu User Pic is being placed about 30 pixels low, at least on some skins. I'm not sure where the shipped skins belong, but it's obvious to me on Agenda, Krome, LCD, Penthouse, VOX. I couldn't say whether or not they were on the previous beta.
(Win10 64bit Home)
Possible issue: Black frames around MMC (Event Viewer) - Please test!
Notice the lack of a single space
Good catch. It's a pretty safe bet that you're the 1st to catch that and let them know, I know I never noticed it. Sitting right here staring at it and I still didn't see it. A couple of combinations I used that worked with a fair amount of randomness, if you want kind of start from there: MinAnimationLoop = 50 AnimationGap = -400 MinAnimationLoop = 100 AnimationGap = -700
In your DeskScapes program directory there is a small pdf file which does have some specifics- C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\DeskScapes8\HybridDreamFormat.pdf
I'm concerned that it may be due to a 4 frame animation rather than something like 500.
I don't think so, that's not where I'd start. I'm thinking it's caused by this:
MinAnimationLoop = 500 Animation Gap = -1000
Is it just that one image that's doing it to you or is it all of them? A couple of definitions I have from som
It's been a decade since I played with this, so no guarantees.
TileMode = 1
TileMode = 1 should cause the image to tile when the wallpaper is resized, I would imagine you would want TileMode = 0 so that it would stretch
Y coordinates
My notes tell me that the Y coordinates refer to the position of the bottom of the image, instead of the top as you might expect. Probably time to mention this again: To prevent Windowblinds from loading at boot, hold the [Ctrl] key while pressing [Enter] on the Login screen.
the scroll bar on the Settings App: It's hidden by default and only appears as a SUPER thin line when the mouse is over the app and only gets large enough to use when your cursor is in the area it occupies.
Also, some skins give an error code when you try to download them.
You'd probably need to list the specific skins so they could check them. As far as I know if there's a download button they should download. I don't know what's happened with essorant, I can't seem to turn up anything either. Seems he might be gone (?).
Startmenu and Taskbar / Startmenu / Left hand side / Programs list ... [Text]tab... "State to modify" dropdown starts with "Normal", drop it down... upper "Unused ignore" is the normal text, lower "Unused ignore" is the highlighted text.
You never know, could be something that might be fixed with a dozen pills. Here's hoping it is, give 'em Heck Wiz, get well soon.
At one point Pale Moon (a Firefox derivative) was using the System Color / Window Text color setting (which of course tend to be blackish) for the tab text color. If you've got a dark WB theme with a light window text color you might try applying that to see if the Firefox tab text is following that color.
Just now checked and yes I see that as well.
Version 1.9 hasn't been supported or updated in years and I'm afraid I have no idea what it might do on Win10. Sorry.
Copy the configuration files back over to the original folder. You would probably need to exit Object Dock, copy the files back over, then restart Object Dock.
Fresh installs are so nice aren't they - almost like a hardware upgrade. [e digicons]:)[/e] One thing that I've seen cause a problem with tmp files is the permissions for the folder(s) they're in. That's something that has shown up right after installing something though, I have no idea how it might come up out of the blue ... other than maybe a Win10 update? Anyway if it crops up again you might look at those. Meanwhile enjoy the "new machin
Well your small black Xes will have lots of company, there are quite a few little black Xes or such scattered around, and sometimes in the most inconvenient places. I've thought about using OneDrive for these things, but I'm not sure how long MS would put up with the pecking at their bandwidth either.
This shows how to back up the settings: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/298/88/i-need-to-backuprestore-my-dock-settings It doesn't backup the actual icon image files, you would want to do that separately. It backs up the files that tell Object Dock where to find the icon image files.

Yes, Section 1A: https://www.stardock.com/support/software_eula.aspx I believe you would use the same activation code you used for the 1st installation. You can find it after logging in here if you didn't take note of it (which you really should): https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products
