I agree. I have been playing around with start 11 using this method and am really liking the look a lot. Without caption you get really big icons, but with captions you get slightly bigger icons then before and the captions remain separated unlike in previous versions. I understand why this is not the default start 11 look. For it to look right every icon pinned needs a custom image attached to it so there is a time commitment there. But for anyone that is ok with a more advanced cust

Everything else works with Start11, I have to turn this function off in order to be able to expand the icons in the area for now. Again, I understa
I have to agree with nacunis on this one. It is a hard adjustment for me as well. Perhaps an on / off switch (extra slider) for those of us that preferred the the older icon / tile look could be added?
Yes, I have restarted my computer at least 3 times and the problem continues.
I would uninstall start 11 and then reinstall it through your "my download" link in your profile. It sounds like something didn't install correctly.
Thank you Neil and your team. You have done a great job in making the Windows 11 experience better. I am counting around 5 months of development on Start 11 which is a lot of commitment. It has been fun watching this program grow and develop over the months and it is going to be weird not leaving feedback and anticipating updates to develop it further. I expect there will still be an update in May once Microsoft releases its annual update but it looks like in large this is a completed project
I am looking forward to seeing them. The sizes should be good. For me personally, Icons customization has been making a comeback with how I use them with Start 11. Super easy to change them as I have a whole folder now just for tiles / icons which I use for the windows 11 theme. I know there is still a demand for more traditional icon customization as well as everyone uses their pc differently. This is just how I am using them.
Hello Naroon. I am doing well. It is amazing to me that US intelligence got this war soo wrong. With Russia's advanced technology such as the SU-34 and troop numbers it was thought that Ukraine would fall in 3-4 days. Surely this is close to what Russia also calculated when they chose to invade. I believe Russia is now on the receiving end of one of history's greatest upsets. I have been rooting for Ukraine this whole time and I hope this becomes the most costliest mistakes Ru
Unless you have a real need to be using dev builds of Windows I would strongly advise against using them
Just to add to that, there is an off ramp if you have been stuck on the DEV channel. You can switch to the Beta Channel for a short while without needing a clean install. The Beta Channel build should be completed by next month so in a months time you will have an easy exit as 22h2 is about to be released to eve

Naroon, I do agree with your assessment. On one hand it is amazing how well Ukraine defended Kyiv against what was considered a much better army from a number and equipment standpoint. But, on the other the Ukraine still stand to lose 1/3 of their land and that is still really bad news if that happens. The war is no where near over and everyone needs to keep maximum pressure on Putin. Interestingly, there are reports that Putin is already planning a big victory parade for his win over
All beta update's are manual installs rather then "auto check" updates that can be found on your download page. Here is the most direct link to the most current update. 1.19: https://cdn.stardock.us/downloads/public/software/start/Start11_1.19-j155-Setup.exe
I am not sure I am understanding you or not. I think you are talking about the all "all apps" menu since pinning and unpinning is straight forward. The "all apps' menu can be modified in it's location folder which is located in, "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" removing shortcuts here should also get rid of the icon in the "all apps" menu

I think it is finally safe to call it... For the battle of Kyiv Putin has lost! All of Europe is more safe because of it. Hard battles may still be ahead, but Ukraine should be proud.
When Windows 11 first released it was actually very successful at driving up hardware sales and adoption rates were also on the rise at a pretty steady rate as well. But in recent reports it seems as though adoption rates have almost come to a screeching halt since February. Could this be because Microsoft's strategy is to drive up hardware sales by keeping its system requirements high. I do know that there are ways around system requirements but Microsoft is countering this with anno
