Whomever you end up with I hope it's someone you want/deserve....rather than someone that you are simply 'stuck' with...
Due to the system, which like a building that was beautiful for it's time when it was first built but is now choked with weeds and is an eyesore by comparison to the latest architectural possibilities, "stuck with" is the likely result of any US Presidential election. I better not bitch without offering solutions,

Your premise is one sided. Read "Atlas Shrugged" for the other side. If you HAVE read it, you clearly didn't get it. Read it again.

Yup, that's the creative process to a tee. A Boo-tee in this case *rimshot*. And I guess everyone has to find their own method for getting past what is the equivalent of writer's block, but me, I sleep on it and right before I go to sleep I put in a call to my brain. "Brain, I'm going to sleep. Please process this and have an answer on my desk by the time I wake up." Usually, halfway through my first cup of coffee, the answer shows up.

I don't think my post in particular upset him, per se. (Unless, we're talking about the second one, which I only guess has been deleted - why would I go back to check?) The first one he just didn't read what I said and compare it to what everyone else had said. You had lots of tech geeks posting 200 line trace routes and ping times. It wasn't a server issue which could be detected with a simple experiment. Go to a forum post from your own blo
Can I quote you sometime when I get into one of those endless arguments with someone who just refuses to see reason?
Of course, but don't give me credit. They'll be more likely to see reason if they don't know the quote is coming from me. Which brings the thread back to the subject. As long as people confuse "knowing" something with "believing" it, there is no reason to be h

I'm constantly amused by the ads that get stuck on my blog page. I have no idea what I've written that would cause an ad of "Meet Christian Girls Free" to appear on my page, but man I'm glad it's there. I am SO tired of paying to meet Christian girls. It's cool that someone is finally offering them for free.

I probably should have read every response, but my time is limited these days, and I'm admitting up front that I didn't. That said, my contribution to this thread goes thusly: When it comes to the liberal/conservative debate, certain things always take the spotlight. Pro-life vs. pro-choice is the prime example, but there are others. And while I know these points are important to the people they are important to, they aren't the be all end all of the lib
Having read the thread in question, I think it's safe to assume you'll soon be exiled, dear Ock! Why? For the same reason Simon got the ax a couple of years ago, inspiring me to delete years worth of my own work and follow him out the door in sympathy. You dared to violate an occult taboo here, mentioning that you are a PAYING CUSTOMER of Stardock and therefore expect to be treated with at least a soupcon of respect on St

Something is amiss. I agree with KFC. The sky is falling. Something is really amiss. I agree with Erathoniel. Oprah is an opportunist who uses the idiocy of the public to line her wallet. She supports liberals so that she can be a closet conservative. She isn't REALLY a liberal, she just knows that she can make more money that way. It's a good smart business move on her part. Good for her, but don't be fooled.

A few days ago, I noticed that the forums weren't working as intended. The way I "surf" JU is I look on the right to see what the popular articles are, and then I pick one and click it. If none of those articles seem interesting, I look at the "Recent articles" list and pick one of those. Once I've read that and responded or delcined to, I look again on the right for something new to view. The problem was that once I had navigated away from my own blog, if I clicked so

Wow. Did he die a natural death? He was one of the few people that could poke fun at his own field and get away with it. I'm not a country music fan, but I've always been a Jerry Reed fan, and there you have it.
do you think legalized slavery would ever have been overturned if people of faith had chosen to keep their religious convictions private? I don't.
Legalized slavery existed BECAUSE of the religious. They used your bible to rationalize their actions. Kind of just like you do.

Oh, if you're showing up late in the game, the person I mentioned in the article showed up and posted something. It wasn't important to me, so I decided that it wasn't important to any of you and deleted it. That's how we roll around here.
