Banned for some kind of mind-bending apostrophe-error/propaganda involving software as a potential platform for sentience. How the frak by all the gawds of COBOL is sentience not an app?
Philocthetes
Banned any which way, you app masquerading as an ape.
Banned for a most unaesthetic reification error. Spelling is usually the domain of a deity/archetype like Order or Propriety. Thou shouldst have at least madeth some crappy attempt at citing thy Awethority uv Spelink.
Banned because thanks to Stardock forum sprawl politics there's no way to ban you from Elemental. Plus, where's the respect for my more-than-half-decent keyboard pun @?
Banned because you caught me out as a north-central native. Us 'inland' folks never get quite as fucked up by hurricanes as the folks who can walk easily to the beach, and I confess that I've seen snow a few times here and once or twice it actually accumulated on metal surfaces and in shady spots. It warn't really anger, so much as lifelong frustration about the fact that the rest of the nation has no real appreciation for how Florida is nowhere near as simple
Banned for being shifty. And for failing to appreciate the wondrous fuckupedness that is Florida two or three pages ago. At least we're smart enough not to live where water just turns solid if you leave it out overnight.
...I'm not entirely clear on why you saw that as insulting - all I was saying was that there is, as far as I know, no unique quality to minor race homeworlds that gives them a large influence boost beyond what you get from the combination of their homeworld status and high PQ.
It was the combination of "it only makes sense" with your use of shudder quotes around the word special. I parsed that to mean you tho
That's the thing; if someone would now post in an old thread in one of the dead sub-forums, there's a high risk that it will go mostly unnoticed because the misc forums are active and cause any single posts to drop from the recent posts list pretty quickly. I know it's not too serious of an issue. I just wanted to help improve the forum experience.
Not sure how the Win-folks got so feist
Banned because she could whine all she wanted if she bakes a fine pumpkin pie. I wonder if the first class fliers get good pie this time of year?
Banned because I'm worried that there will be no homemade pumpkin pie for me this year, and I can't bake one myself because my oven is an unreliable beast from the dark ages.
Thanks for making me feel "special" with your 'thoughtful' reply.
Banned because that doesn't sound very thankful at all. Better to mock him for cake talk when this week is about serious pie questions--like what's the most important one to have at the groaning board and who's got the best recipe for it.
... When you conquer a minor, you will notice a huge influence shift in your favor - much more than you would expect. Conquer all 8 of them, and you should own over half the map (depending on size). ...
I wonder if that's because you've taken homeworlds and not just colonies. Do they have a larger influence radius than regular colonies?
Banned because that was quotes without a citation, or shudder quotes.
Banned because the start of a category of categories still isn't a unique identifier. Banned again because you're also denying the fact that there are plenty of 'secular Christians' in the world who claim the cultural identity with none of the theology. Although most of them in the US are pretty quiet about not buying the theology.
Banned for thinking it was ever a unique identifier. The dude started out with twelve apostles, or thirteen, or eleven, depending on how you feel about Mary Magdalene and Judas Iscariot.
Banned for being so cranky after claiming to have had a fun night out. Banned again for the females-as-chattel language.
Banned because I won't trust in that until you show me the DD platform that matches Stardock's history of extreme restraint with DRM, and isn't owned by Gamestop.
Banned for giving Scoutdog a pass on his sexophobic innuendo. Stardock Central will be coming back, so us 'true conservatives' can ignore all those bloatware/DRM beasties. At least in theory--not sure yet whether Fallen Enchantress will be available Gamestop-free.
EFF's page on the issue is here https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2011/11/stop-online-piracy-act-blacklist-any-other-name-still-blacklist . If you read up on this and want to oppose it, I encourage you to go straight to the contact pages at your House member's and Senators' web sites and type a personal letter. That shows a stronger sentiment than a petition
banned for being in Florida
Banned because I'm not just living in Florida, I'm living less than an hour's walk from where I was born. That'd make me a hardcore conservative except for things like my conviction that health care is a public good and Congress has spent the last century-plus-a-bit unconstitutionally delegating its authority to an increasingly imperial presidency.
Banned by a small town southron man who's heard too many acid disaster stories and knows that the stalker thing is only funny on TV. Plus, I'm Floridian and I really understand how rain can be both a delight and a misery.
Banned because it's been four (dammit, 5!) posts with no one showing respect for the Count, including the guy who invoked the venerable undead muppet to start with.
@ Draak: Banned for not banning Ryat for an ugly neologism. The world has more than enough isms. And because I missed a good token-queer chance to type something silly about you boys riding one another. Damn, but we need some wimmin regularly posting on this thread. Ryat banned for typing while I'm typing. Where's the psychic synchronization when you need it?
Banned because you were ahead with "tee hee." And no one is yet giving sufficient respect to good hats and hot guys wearing collars and ties with no shirt attached.
