Banned for thinking Firefly shouldn't have been axed.
Banned because that's not fuzzy logic, that's stinky wet dog logic. Not that logic has anything to do with taste in television...
Philocthetes
Banned because that's horseshoe crabs, not Vulcans.
When I have tech tree questions, I almost always fire up the free Galactopedia app that a couple of players developed years ago. It is .NET dependent, but most PCs have .NET installed these days. It's a simple GUI that reads and lets you search the XML files behind the tech trees. You can even switch between the trees for DL, DA, and TA.
Banned because knowing what you don't know is the better part of wisdom.
Banned because today I asked a 'sophomore' college class what they knew about Abu Graib, and the answer was nothing. Yoda's imaginary, so failing to cite him as a source of wisdom is acceptable. This whole 'so five minutes ago' attitude--not so helpful for the project we call democracy.
Banned because I'll see fire ants and raise you any nightmare context plus velvet ants. Those ladies are scary, scary, scary.
Banned three times, which I only have to do once since three is the magic number.
Banned for treading on thin slang ice. But then going on benders can lead to sexual surprises...
Banned because the new folks need to know that you're thread-famous for wild tangent and complete non sequitur bans.
Banned for mocking a forum pic when you are NO PHOTO.
Banned for only noticing that now. Banned again because over here at Elemental, Everything Else is a sub of Misc. Odd hierarchy, that. Meta-Misc?
Banned for not telling us what the pay was on.
Banned because whatever else is going on, there's no doubt that the lad is on the way to being a Seriously Weird man. I'm a well-credentialed student of weird men, so I can say that with awe-thor-it-A.
Banned because that almost sounds like how I'd describe Scoutdog's attitudes towards sex. Makes me wonder if I was onto something when I called him an exterior decorator.
Banned for assuming BDBF is showing all of its teeth.
Banned for forgetting Madeline Albright and for being a frustrated exterior decorator.
Banned because Kalashnikovs are sturdier, and because no one's ever been killed by a fart. Uppity farts arising to claim their power, those might be dangerous.
...I ban you all for giving really unoriginal reasons for bans. ...
Banned because I thought the shit arising thing was pretty damned funny. Never saw that noun-verb pair before.
My favorites are the ones that are least popular with the computer players. Early game, I tend to favor beams for aesthetic reasons, but as soon as I have enough intel to see what the least common defense tech out there is, I go for the weapons that match it.
Banned for confusing slang with etiquette.
Banned because class conflict is inevitable in capitalist systems and there are more than two 'directions' involved. All that "class warfare" talk is just more offensive gas emissions from people who can't tell a Marxist from a Keynesian. This thread needs to get back to practical matters, like etiquette for farting in a shared bed.
Banned for not noticing that Off-topic has become Everything Else and is available at Elemental after a long absence. Or, banned for stepping down into the solid stuff when we were on a gassy path. Shit arising? That sounds like a fringe faction of the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
Banned for Everything Else, especially because it seems to be Everywhere.
Banned because you look pretty gassy yourself. Large masses of stable, backlit gas seem like more of a threat to a bedmate than one big explosion.
Banned because deadpan humour is dayumed hard to git acrost on these new-fangled inter-tubes.
