hmm. do you have the registration info entered right? more questions: 1)when you formatted your os, do you mean that you formatted your harddrive then reinstalled windows? windows reinstall doesn't reformat the harddrive so stuff still remains. 2) have you run the ODzapper program? if you don't have irfanview, you need it. its by far the best little image editor available, and its free. If you aren't doing anything major its a God-send. [Message Edited]

the username on the start menu is very limited to movement. It will normally sit as far left as possible. You can change the settings or create a fake user image. it is a picuture of the back of the user panel so it looks like there isn't a userpicture there.

that changes the favicons, not the default image. but it should work.

errmm. click on run in the startmenu and type in services.msc. find the entry called themes and right click on it and choose properites. make sure that the path to executable is "C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs" without quotes. that it is set on automatic and that it is started. then click ok. close the services window and restart computer. try my step above again

I believe the favorites icons in the menu of internet explorer cannot be changed without hacking your system files. something that you should never do.

try this uninstall windowblinds. restart computer. then once computer back on type in the run box "regedit" without the quotes. then in there click on the edit menu and select find. search for all instances of windowblinds and delete them by selecting find again and deleting each instance. do the same for wbload.exe. then go into the windowblinds folder and delete everything but the themes (Them too if you want to and aren't sure). now restart. once the computer is back up reinstall window

people who haven't bought something can only download 50 megs of stuff so this really isn't a way to stem downloads. The rating system is being changed (at least to my knowledge) because of abuse and complaints.

I learned my lesson, and now I share it. don't turn stuff off that you aren't 100% positive will affect your computer. and don't mess with stuff that has the system file protection. and for poddytat. unload windowblinds. check in c:\windows\resources\themes\ and see if there is an entry for luna.theme there. if there is double click it and display properties should show up. click apply and luna should load if your theming service is on. if there isn't and there isn't a folder call

Get rid of the patched uxtheme file and convert the msstyles to windowblinds. that simple. I had problems with the uxtheme patch and windowblinds, and finally it got so bad that I had to reformat and reinstall windows....all right that wasn't my only problem, but it was really bugging me because I couldn't load either windowblinds or msstyles because either one would only last for about a minute then revert back to classic.
