serously I think if you can't handle getting bad ratings you need to grow up. I agree that 4 is a little low for that icon, but personally I wouldn't give it much higher. I don't like individual icons being posted. Unless those icons are extraordinary and amazing they are just not worth my time. I understand that you probably spent a lot of time with that icon, but consider that another artist has spent the same amount of time for each icon in a set of say fifty. If those icons are just as

and I think hippy is right, the symptoms did occur right after I tried to use a msstyle...I did have the thememanager off. I will have to remember that for future reference

well it doesn't matter now. I have uninstalled windowblinds and am running in classic mode. It makes my computer run a lot quicker which helps in the rarring. Anyway you don't need the thememanager on if you have windowblinds, right?

I believe that backing up is the best source of action, but I am sure there are alternatives. However since it appears that somehow your system has been messed up whatever happened before has a higher chance of happening again if you don't reformat and reinstall. Right now I am in the process of reformatting and reinstalling. Luckily I do have access to windows and nothing serious is wrong, just a buch of annoying little things. Unless you use gif, you won't get smooth edges. My little experience with sysmetrix is that boxy shapes usually look better. I stopped using sysmetrix once I got desktopx. It can do most all that sysmetrix can, and it lets you use pngs or tgas to get smooth borders.
