I am not sure, but I have been experiencing problems with windowblinds and I think it might be a patched uxtheme file (which is all that stylexp is) because of the new ability of windowblinds to automatically convert a msstyle to windowblind. Anyway I suggest that you never have the 2 concurrently on the system as it opens the door to possible problems
I love the registry too, but something I did somewhere (inside a system dll or the registry) messed up windows and I am in the process of reinstalling windows. I am still in the backup phase of that.
once you have it loaded change whatever you want to then save it again and it should save whatever changes you made.

I had to go through and scrub my registry. Once you uninstall windowblinds and have restarted go to the start menu and hit the run button. Type in regedit. Go up to edit and find and search for windowblinds. delete every instance that shows up. next do a find for wbload.exe. delete every instance that shows up. restart and the buttons should be gone. I would suggest that you backup your registry before messing with as one wrong step could lead to disaster. I believe there is an

first of all I don't think you have your screen set at 32 colors. It doesn't matter anyway they only show up in 16. I don't know how to fix your problem though. bootskins are rather simple: two (maybe one) image and a itty-bitty ini file. So I doubt its something wrong with the bootskin itself. What it does sound like is that there is something wrong with your video driver/card. Update you video driver if possible or check your screen color settings. They might be set horribly off and you
'ToolBar Icons Support' I thought this meant that it had them in the wba file. If it has them then they get installed for all skins to use. again am I mistake?

those toolbar icons, as far as I know have not been released with a windowblind. However their equivalent has been released in the form of system dlls. Which with you can rip them out and put them in a skin. I have done this, and I think that is what snidely has done. You can find somewhere on the net. There are a lot of others like that too. You have crystalmx, icandy junior, and many others. The trick is to know how to take them out. They are in the same format as windowblinds takes,
let see I haven't reinstalled windows yet. I am still in the process of backing stuff up. So whilst winRAR is running, does anybody know the best way to save everything (mp3's, icons, etc). I really don't feel like waiting 40 minutes for winRAR to rar my 5 gigs of music (and its all legal). Its fun watching big programs like office go bye-bye then looking at how much space you have on your disk. My goal is to get it down to about five via deleting or moving stuff onto cds. its only
