right now I hate icons and anything to do with them in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

especially icon packager. I have spent the last 2 and a half hours trying to get 1 (one), a single theme, to work. yes one. First I was making mattahan's umicons into an iconpack because I didn't like they way the one here was done. so after an hour of that and almost all the way through, iconpackager decides to delete the whole thing (I had saved it five times before then but that didn't matter). alright I figured it out on my own What icon packager does is change the default icons of every single thing that it can change in the registry or it adds a default icon. So once iconpackager won't work you can't use it to restore all of default icons that it changes. I used a registry scanner to tell me the differences between when I had an iconset loaded and I had the default iconset loaded and there were a lot and it was just the icons. I already have done it, but the icons aren't as good as yours. I could never find a way to use them they didn't look that good with my previous two skins and they definitly don't match the one I am making. I will send you the png or tga if you would like it.

the version I have is beta and it is 2.09[b].002. If you bought object desktop make sure that you have show prereleases clicked in stardock central (its in the lower left) and you should see a newer version of dx to download. I think the only way you can get this version is through object desktop. I thought it would work on the standalone version, but maybe it doesn't yet.

hopefully (well maybe not depending on who you are) microsoft will incorporate native skinning so the lil' kiddies can again make their lil' skins. If stardock was the only cowboy in town he might get lazy and the bad guys will come roaming in and who will be there to defend us A little competition between companies is a good thing...it keeps the updates and improvements coming.
