I have found the user pane text to be extremely stubborn. you just have to fiddle around with it for a while to get it where you want it.

the original's preview doesn't look like the bootskin really looks. I have seen a couple of these like that and they kind of bug me. [Message Edited]

firebird used to do this to me every once and a while with objectdock.
yeah it should work. it brings up the networking login.

press ctrl alt delete at the logon screen it should bring up the old nt/98 login dialogue
you can keep them some other voices got into a fight with them the other night and well they kind of got the boot so to say.

actually I take back what I said. the top panels size can be set in both dimensions.
good. now lets all of us be quiet.
problem for me for all skins including none. probably messed something up in the registry. It didn't used to not show right. I gave up on it after a month of fiddling reinstalling and stuff.
