I was wondering if there would be anything on the same caliber as the Stardock Virtual Desktops. I have 12 vitual deskto
There are a lot of freeware alternatives that have been more maintained. Virtual Desktops is basically retired unless we can bring something that the others do not to the application.
Yeah, this is what seems to be happening to all useful stardock stuff. Retired, sigh. Can anybody give me a link to any of the "a lot of freeware alternatives" that would on the same caliber as the poor old virtual desktop. I still use&nbs
This is huge disappointment. ObjectBar being dropped out, Virtual desktops being dropped out and the whole company seem to be shifting to develop all kinds of crap and games instead of quality software. I have been subscriber since OS/2 days but it seems that this is the end now. Already 2009 subscription was complete waste of money, and seems that next yoear will be the same. Well, I guess I need to lear of how to make a backup/archieve of the current stuff... Anybo
I wonder if ObjectBar is still being supported - I have not seen an update for a long time. The current version is OK, except that it crashes every so often and seem to forget some of the setting as well. OB is the primary reason for me to subscribe OD and if it is not supported any more I can just stop paying the yearly fee.
I have the same problem with XP. Upgraded from WB5 and saw Classic skin, none of the other skins worked. Uninstalled and reinstalled WB6, but did not help. Got fed up and reinstalled WB5, but still the same problem.
After a second reboot I received a warning that Antivirus/antispyware may be bloking the installation. I unloaded F-secure 7 and tried one more install with WB6 - And this time it worked! <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="
I had the exactly the same issue with the WindowBlinds update this time (on Vista64bit too). I can't remember how it was last time, but this time I updated WB and after the next reboot, Vista started with the classic (aka Win98) "skin", and with the WB-control panel open. Whenever I tried to apply a skin nothing would happen at all. The only way to resolve the problem was to uninstall WB6 - reboot - and reinstall WB6. ObjectBar is a very useful and in my experience stable application. The spirited discussion here is because so many actually really like OB, and use it. Personally I use it all the time, and feel it is a key part of my desktop. I think could do without WB5, but not necessary without OB. OB plust virtu
I wonder why system tray has suddenly disappeared from Object bar in my computer(most recent version. It is visible in the theme editor, but does not show up in the actual bar. My system is Win XP SP2, with the usual OD package (window blinds, Object bar, no desktop x).
