It would be nice if in the trade screen, when you right click a mining starbase, it tells you what resource it's mining.
Dracil
Stupid crappy net connection
Finally got a non-bugged game submitted!
Same thing. The idea was that if you preordered, you'd get the collector's edition stuff, which as it turns out (*cough* EB Games *cough*) is not necessarily the case.
Already had my vote months ago. Come on people!
Actually, I took a look at it, and Mass Drivers don't seem to automatically reduce the planet's population as I had been led to believe on IRC. It gives you a huge advantage, but you still need the troops to utilize those advantages. So 1 person on the transport might be able to take out 100 people at the most.
I'll list out the ones NOT to get. Social Production - Is currently bugged, so Civ-wide social production bonuses have ZERO effect. I don't see them fixing it in the patch notes either. Pop. Growth - because even with 0 bonuses, you're gonna hit the pop. growth cap (200m/turn) so quickly it doesn't matter anyway. Morale - it's being heavily nerfed with the new patch. A 100% morale boost will only give an actual 39 boo
Not a good idea. Troops in space = angry AI. I once had 4 civs declare war on me just 'cause I had 2 transports parked next to MY world.
Technically, pop.growth isn't broken. It's working as intended. It's just completely, and utterly useless at pretty much any population above 200m (and I rarely send out colony ships, or conquer planets with that few pop). It'll save you maybe 3 turns before you hit the pop growth cap.
From talking to CariElf, she says she found a possible reason for the cheats detected. Apparently, if you go back and forth in the ability screen, the ability bonuses could be applied twice, giving you too many ability points, so the game will be flagged as a cheated game. She said she was going to go through the database and fix them so your games will become unflagged, but she hasn't gotten around to it yet. But for now, whenev
No one's forcing you to give away your techs. You can just BUY their techs, and never sell yours or trade yours away. Just research branches the AIs are not researching, and buy whatever they do research. You'll be a tech leader then.
Someone mentioned this on IRC but didn't seem inclined to actually file a bug report, so I'm doing it instead. If you use a planetary invasion tactic like Mass Drivers, it will severely wipe out the planet's soldier population, but if you don't actually win, the planet PQ won't be reduced. This leads to exploits like sending a troop transport with 1 person, Mass Drivering the planet's population to almost nothing, then follow
Yes, it's billion.
I like Small. Nice and cozy. And I don't have to worry about land-grab. And when I do start grabbing land, they're all nice Class 10+ homeworlds.
How do you get +70 racial to diplomacy? The max is +60.
Or... if you're gonna sell it to one, sell it to them all. Then no more issue with them trading amongst themselves!
Pop Growth is capped at 200m. Which makes pop. growth pretty useless as an ability.
It would help if you told us what your actual population was.
Actually, now that you mention it, I guess that's what it is. Oops.
You know you can cancel a preorder from EBGames and get a full refund right? And Stardock has mentioned that those with the first batch could contact them for collector's goodies if they don't get it.
Ok good, then you probably want to read my post on undocumented bonus stats/race. https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=102353&cmd=myposts The short answer is, it's not a bug.
No, unless they're above Intelligent (Brilliant+)
Meh, my edits don't seem to be appearing, so let's try that again. Not-so-random question, what race are you using? Did you use the same race both times? As in, unless you're actually using the Custom Race race, every race can be a "custom race"

*Don't* destroy farms. Build something on top of it. You get a small build time bonus for the conversion.
