Hello there. I hope that you're having a nice weekend. It is Sunday evening now, what happened to the time? My wife, the baby, and I didn't do much this weekend. We stayed at home. It seems that baby Kenny is a little bit sick. He is congested, in a bad mood, and has a slight fever. We'll bring him in to the doctor tomorrow. I was able to take a few cute pictures of the little guy. He will turn three months-old this week. Kenny doesnft look to be in t

A few years ago I rented and watched the video "Fools Rush In," starring Matthew Perry amd Selma Hayak (spelling may be off there.) I remember thinking that the movie was sweet, and a lot of fun to watch. I think that I had even recommended it to a number of people. Last night they played that movie on TBS. I watched it with my wife. I had built it up as a really good movie that we'll enjoy watching. Well, it wasn't horrible. It just wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. There

Pretty good predictions. I like how you've kept it close too. I think that it will end up being just as close as you've predicted (if not more so...) Your map is kind of cute too.

I didn't even know that I was getting in on the "ground floor" when I started my weblog. So far it has been awesome, and TONS more easier than keeping an ordinary website updated. Thanks for everything so far. As far as politics in here goes, I am personally glad that it isn't more pervasive. I dislike politically-charged debates because there doesn't tend to be much give-and-take. Participants in those sorts of debates tend to get dogmatic. That's why I like to save my pol

Hi there friends. This morning as I was beginning to wake up, I heard the familiar sounds of the beginning theme to "Beavis and Butthead" coming from the television. As my wife had been flipping channels this morning, she came across the show on MTV2. That was enough to get me out of bed. I really enjoyed watching that show while it was on. I am a little surprised that MTV Networks never got a syndication deal for it. There are tons of episodes. That said, I was surprised

New posts disappear after the "Post" is clicked. Also once I choose a topic, the page seems to refresh itself. If I don't enter a topic before I start writing, I am in trouble. Thanks Joe

Hello there friends. TGIF to all of you out there. This morning I was at a gas station. I put gas in my car, I bought some coffee, and a doughnut. After paying, I put the receipt into my wallet. As I did this, I noticed some writing on one of my dollar bills. The writing told me to visit www.wheresgeorge.com. At this site, you can enter the serial number on the dollar bill to find out where it has been. It is pretty interesting. I found out that my dollar bill had prev

Hello there friends! I hope that you're having a happy Thursday. This week is just flying by! Last night was the final evening in a three-night stretch of "American Idol." I enjoyed watching each episode. Last night's episode contained its fair-share of heart-wrenching cuts. You already know my favorites. (If you don't, just scroll down my weblog a little.) The good news is that most of them made it. The final 32 seems like a really interesting and talented bunch

Hello there friends! I hope that all of you had a nice Tuesday. My day went by really quickly. The kids at school were good. They got a lot of work done, the seemed to have learned a few things, and I went home happy. They're such angels (in general...) Coming home, I took a few pictures with Kenny. After all of that, I did a quick shovel of my driveway. (I don't have to take a running start to get my car into and out of my driveway like I did this morning and this af

I agree with ima... Your TA just probably wants to see what his class thinks about sociology. Sometimes teachers in college like to make really open-ended assignments like that. As far as inserting pictures, you have to store the picture on a different site (like geocities,) then make a link to the picture via html code. Once you've established it all, it is pretty easy "cut and paste"

I echo the sentiment of the last entry. Having a cellular phone is fantastic for finding your friends in crowded places. I also enjoy the text-messaging feature on my phone. It has the immediacy of a telephone conversation with the brevity of an e-mail message. That way you also don't have to speak aloud in public.

Hello there friends. I hope that you're surviving your work week. I seem to be doing okay here. It is awfully cold and snowy here! I have to shovel my driveway again when I get home. Like my title says, tonight is the first episode of the post-audition "American Idol." I am really looking forward to getting to know the "characters." Once we know the contestants, we can choose favorites and know whom to root for. There were four audition episodes leading up to the competit

About two weeks ago I wrote a weblog entry about the Guy Ritchie gangster movies. In a nutshell, I said that I would put up Guy Ritchie's two gangster movies against Tarantino's two gangster movies. Not to say that I don't enjoy all four movies, it is just that I liked "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels," and "Snatch" better than "Pulp Fiction," and "Reservior Dogs." Not much better, just better. On a similar note, I decided to visit the video store this morning to rent the movie

VH1 Has a bunch of cool shows. I have written blogs on "I Love the 70s/80s" and the biographies of the recent divas. (Brittany, Christina, Pink, and Jessica.) VH1 is certainly fodder for weblogs. I haven't watched MTV since they took "Beavis and Butthead" off the air. Fuse channel actually plays videos. (a definite plus!) VH1 is among the most entertaining cable channels. I suppose the reason for that is that the shows are written toward my demographic,

Hey there friends! I hope that all of you are having a happy weekend. Today was an ordinary Saturday. I slept in, and then I woke up and thought about what to do next. I decided that I wanted to look back at some of my videotapes from the second season of "American Idol." (After watching the first few episodes of AI3, I seem to have "caught the bug" again.) On the second floor of our house we have three bedrooms. One room is for guests/ our summer bedroom, another room

The information is useful. Thanks for laying it out. I had always been happy for the points that I have been getting, and I assumed that there was some rationale behind the points. I just didn't know what I was getting points for. I did know that my more popular topics garnered more points for me. Awesome.

Hi there friends. I hope that you're having a happy day. I enjoyed my day. I was able to go into work late this morning. We had a two-hour delay because of the weather. The even better news is that we will have the same delay tomorrow. It is nice to end the week with two grueling six-hour workdays. I wish that my high school would have closed down this often. Snowdays were an awesome break from life on a cold winter day. Now they're time to clear away snow and stay w

Hello there. I hope that everyone's week is going well. I am coming off of the thrill of watching two consecutive days of "American Idol." Next week there will be three days in-a-row of episodes. I am really looking forward to watching Monday's episode where they show only the good auditions. Then after that, weeding occurs. It didn't seem that there were that many impressive singers in the Hawaii auditions. We'll have to see how they do in the later rounds. In other

Hello there. I hope that it is going fine for all of you. Not much to say today. Everything went as expected. I went to work, I came home, I shoveled snow. Kazuko and I watched American Idol, we went grocery shopping, we danced, and we watched "Seinfeld." Actually come to think of it, it was a pretty good night! I really enjoyed the last guy on "American Idol" tonight. If you don't remember, he was that Chinese civil engineering student who sang "She Bangs." He was p

Hell there my friends. Overnight Sunday and during the day Monday, Minnesota was covered in snow. (In Duluth, they had over 20 inches ~53cm of snow!) -If I get home early enough tonight, I will take a picture of the "aftermath." The good news about all of this is that my dad gave me a two-cycle motor power shovel to deal with the snow. It was pretty easy to clear off my driveway and walkways after the heavy snow. I will have to go out again tonight to deal with drifts and w

Hi friends! When my wife and I moved into our house last summer we were greeted with a shower that had a very nice flow of water. By the time we were finished with our shower, we knew that we were clean. The only drawback of our shower head was that it was quite old and it had accumulated some minerals over the years. Kazuko and I decided to buy a new shower head. When I installed the new shower head, I unknowingly threw away the old one. What I didn't know was that I had d

Hey all! I hope that your weekend has been going well. Kazuko and I are enjoying the weekend with my parents. Tonight we'll have sushi for dinner. That should be good, I always enjoy eating sushi! Another piece of big news in our house is that I bought a second dance mat for "Dance Dance Revolution." Last night my wife and I had a happy time dancing together to our favorite songs. It is good exercize for the both of us. Finally, I direct your attention to th
