What happened to the sequel info promised in the last post?
Ashes sequels So the short version is that we aren't going to be making new expansions for Ashes of the Singularity I. There might be more DLC but the changes we want to make are a little too radical to have as an expansion. My next post will be talking about what we have in mind for the sequel so you guys can opine on it. But if you

One quality of life item I want to see added asap is better hotkey support. For example, there should be a hotkey for enabling/disabling repeat on factories. Also, the ability to remap hotkeys would be very welcomed. I think QoL items like these can go a long way toward enhancing the user experience and improving the perceived quality of the game.

I want to see this added as well because it is more efficient than scrolling with mouse, clicking mini-map, or clicking the strategic map. In my opinion, saving/recalling camera locations is a standard feature for any modern RTS.
It is still there, but it has been changed how it works. If you put your factories into control group(s) (Ctrl + [Number]) then they are picked up by the idle factories check, and the F2 key works. I would prefer to not have to put them into control groups to enable the idle factory shortcut, but there are some benefits to the way it works now that I do not use.
Thanks for the cla
Having icons (but further out than those of sup com), but not able to issue orders to them, would actually be a better way IMO of preventing the game being played from a high zoom, without the same feeling of a missing feature or providing some players with an advantage due to their hardware.
I really like this idea. It would be interesting to read Frogboy's response to this.
IMO the lack of not being able to fully zoom out and see the entire map and not having strategic icons will be an artificial cap for making good decisions. If you want people to make good decisions you want to give them as much info as possible, by allowing players to see the entire map they're given all of that, but without icons it will be extremely difficult to distinguish any units. Artificial skill caps or restrictions usually aren&#39

All information in the Vault can be shared with EVERYONE FREE OF CHARGE right now by anyone who has access to the Vault, as long as the sharing is in the form of written or verbal discussion. Furthermore, Frogboy and other members of Stardock have been frequently answering questions about the game... these answers are made available to EVERYONE FREE OF CHARGE. When the game releases any information that may have
" And Stardock has stated that Founders can discuss in public the information they obtain early, they just can't post screenshots or videos that show it (especially gameplay footage once Early Access becomes available). Therefore it is still possible for anyone who is not a founder to learn about the features and other gameplay info at the same time (e.g. via comments in the forums made by Founders). " <b

As I mentioned in the previous post, Founders are allowed to discuss the news and info they receive with non-Founders. They just cannot share the actual art, video files, or any other docs with anyone. The news and information is the most valuable content. Thus no one is being denied justice or being discriminated. Also Stardock's mission as a company is not to be our friends, to act as a charity, or to promote equal and just access to any and all information. They

Could there be a clause in the Steam EULA which explains that if Steam were to shut down the all licenses for games in your library would be transferred to you? Also, worst case scenario that Steam shuts down and they don't transfer any licenses. Do you think it would be feasible for individual publishers to implement an emergency system that would validate a prior purchase you made via Steam and thereby allow you to obtain a new license directly from the publisher
I am a founder for GALCIV III and Ashes (Founder's Lifetime Edition - GreenDragon account) and I bought Servo. I don't like the idea of limiting information and toys to just Founders. It smacks of elitism. Some of us have money to waste on this stuff but that doesn't make us special. Stop treating people differently based on socio-economic background. Give everything to everybody because they are

When I encountered the issue it didn't even give me an authentication prompt to access the Vault. As soon as I clicked the Vault icon it informed me that authentication failed. After logging out of the forums I clicked on the Vault icon again and then received an authentication prompt which allowed me to log in successfully. Also, the concept art is cool but I agree that it is inadequate! It would be awesome to see gameplay info before it is shared publicly.

I stopped playing Galciv2 for a few months and recently got back into it. I'm on 1.7 beta 3, and I am having a big issue with the UI. The options "Enable auto focus to move camera to selected ships" and "Move camera to selected colonies in colony list" do not function as far as I can tell. The camera auto focuses regardless of what I set either of these two options to. I want to set the camera to NOT center on ships when I click on them. Can you please fix this for the final build of 1.7?

I got my range mod to work. First I created three folders (the ones in bold): C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\ Mods\RangeFix\Data Secondly, I copied the RaceConfig file and put it in this directory (the one in bold): C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods\RangeFix\ Data Next, I opened RaceConfig and set all the races range to -150 (except for the Dread Lords since they're supposed to be super adva

Greetings everyone, Now that I have the full version of DA installed, I'm ready to begin a new game. But as usual, I am still torn between the settings that I should use for game set up. I can't decide if I should play on a Medium or Large galaxy (and the ideal number of opponents for each size), I'm unsure about the Research Speed that I should set, I don't know if I should disable Tech Trading all together, and I am undecided about how many Anomolies I want there to be. Basically,

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that my custom designed opponents were used when I selected Random Opponents. Maybe make this an option instead...
