Why the hell do people have nothing more to say than to quibble about how many people showed up?! Guess they want to steer clear of the fact that it was orderly and not crazed. It was a bunch of normal, American citizens and not a bunch of gun wielding nazis. It included families from all over the country. No, better not talk about those things.

I was making breakfast for Brad and he was in the shower. I saw the first plane hit and ran up to tell him. He thought he was hearing me wrong because of the shower and then when he got out he thought I must have misunderstood what was going on. We sat down in our bedroom with that TV on and had the horror wash over us. We had just returned from a wedding in CO the day before. It had been the first time we left our 1yr old son for any amount of time and all sorts

I don't think our president and I have been reading the same bill. If it a person can't legally be asked to prove citizenship, how can we guarantee that illegals won't benefit from this program? Oh, I'm sorry. The Democrats don't like the term "illegal alien". They prefer to say "undocumented"...what a load of crap! Either your a US citizen or you're not. If you are, you shouldn't have any problem at all proving it.

From his speech he claims taxes won't be raised and neither will the deficit. He claims we will "save" all the money needed by fixing the waste that is already going on in the system. How are we going to "save" money by creating all sorts of new govt committees?
His life story about making it to the top using good grades is something that all children could find inspirational.
Did you read the speech? He talked about getting in trouble in school but being given a second chance and getting to go to college. I'm a bit cynical about someone who was admittedly high most of high school preaching to our kids about how they need to do well in school or they will let their country down...or wait...that explains a lo

I think it was a little over the top to repeat how kids will let their country down if they don't do well in school. That's a lot of pressure! The Elementary school kids will take it to heart the most and that statement will probably freak them out! Why couldn't he just leave it at kids setting goals for themselves to achieve? Was it necessary to go on about what they need to do for the country and to make the country more "fair"...what's up with that?! I thi

Is "I didn't read the petition I signed" really much better? We want someone who has the ear of our President to be pushing things he hasn't even read? It's honestly how things seem to be done though. Noone was ever told or notified about the stuff they were behind...convenient. So at best, he's an idiot for signing something he didn't read. At worst, he's the communist, racist, America hating jerk he proclaims with his own words. How can people defend th
listening to the radio is pretty much just a good way to double up on your fox news intake if you're listening to Beck, O'Reily and Limbaugh (yes I realize he doesn't have a show on Fox), unless you're listening to radio stations with distinctly different approaches, like NPR.
We listen to NPR pretty regularly. Never listened to Beck or O'Reilly on the radio but have listened to Limbaugh (who coined a phrase after my husband) but you made my point for me. Y
Because leftists and democrats read books, instead of watching TV or listening to the radio.
There you have it, the typical leftist attitude that if anyone isn't in lock step with them it is just because they aren't as "learned" as them. Democrats and leftists don't watch TV? Ha! Why on Earth would every network other than Fox just totally cater to the left then? I think that people who tune in to Fox are looking for something other than the Dem

Thank you all. BFD, I do plan to stay in her kids' lives and tell them stories about what she was like as a kid. It tears at my heart that the youngest won't remember her. She lives on in them though. I know not being there to raise those boys was the hardest part for her. It's a mom's nightmare.

I have dealt with death before. I have even lost loved ones to cancer before. Nothing has ever been as difficult as this. A piece of happiness is gone that I can't get back. I can't even write much about it yet but hope to be able to some day. For now I will just lay out what I can: I met Debbie in Kindergarten. We became best friends in the 4th grade. We became "The Debbies" We grew from awkward little girls together. <
FOX' news quote that says they just wanted to "have a few friends over.")
I consider 15 as a few friends. Every bday party, grad party, Euchre night, scrapbook party, etc. that I've been to has had way more than 15 people. They weren't out on the lawn of the municipal building or at the public library. They were in a private home with private guests. That's just crazy!
in essence memorial day is all flash, no substance. why is it a weekend for celebration over the dead?
People mourn in different ways. Some have wakes. Why not celebrate the fact that these people did amazing things to allow us the freedoms we enjoy every day? As for not having the holiday because it might include those who did bad things, guess we shouldn't have Mother's Day or Father's Day because there are certainly horrible parents out there...just
