Nazi Territory in say 1942 as a Jew? No, but I would have loved to have seen the Trinity test in July of 1945. IG

But, if I understand the belief of the end times, there is still a chance after the rapture for those behind to be converted. If that is the case, would it not make more sense to stay behind and help them on their way, or at least make their last days on earth bearble? Also, why would you leave such an amazing show. Never before seen. Chaos loose on the world. the rampant fury of a vengeful deity. IG
I don't know... I would have to get off and help. Just my psyche I guess... see someone in trouble, help them. IG
Just because the rapture takes place it doesn't mean total destruction for those left behind. As I go further into Revelation it will be seen that MANY will still come to Christ. God is a God of second, third and more chances. He's very patient but there will be a time when even God's patience runs out. Good.... then would it not make more sense for those who are "saved" and getting on the train to get off and help those not on to come to salv
KFC had an interesting post about the Rapture and leaving and that gave me a rather interesting thought. If we accept the fact (temporarily) that the Rapture is going to happen, and the “train” comes for you to get aboard, you look at the magnificent train and then look back at the red and black billowing clouds and those left behind. You look a
What if you don't want to go? IG
Is the Rapture (according to your belief) an invitation or a kidnapping? Do you have to go? IG
Not quite a supporter, but let me give you a more cynical approach to this. As the author said: Selective memory is what I call it and somehow Hillary always comes out smelling like a rose instead of the fertilizer that makes the roses grow. Now, most people believe that government is hiding things, and that there is a certain amount of corruption, so the question is, which would you rather have in charge, a person who appears the fo

Now, Mr. Cheney, I know that your boy is in the white house and that we have been greeted with open arms by the loving Iraqis, that the insurgents are in their death throws, and that your Republican faithful are still behind you, but I feel I must point out something. You seem to be under a slight misconception. Now I know that y
MacGyver may not be making a comeback, but Richard Dean Anderson is doing very well in the hearts and minds of the fans of SG-1. IG
Why did they not report how many soldiers died in a year when the number was over 2500 for one year alone in peacetime? Because they died in peacetime and over a large area. Now, as the President says, we are at war, everything changes. We have 3,000 dying in a small area that we sent them to. Why are the 3,000 who died on 9/11 so revered? Large numbers of people die, in other ways, (Katrina, tidal waves, etc), but
Anyone who dies "in the line of duty". Taking a bullet, dying in a fire... dying doing what they are paid to do... is treated differently than if the same person died at home. That just is. A soldier who gets shot in Iraq is very different, at least in the mind of the citizenry, than a soldier who gets hit by a car. I believe even the military treats them differently. IG
So they were active personnel, but not in cmbat situations. Why are the numbers more important and being touted as being so bad, when we lost more good men and women in peace time? Because we (or those we elected) put them there, we put them in harms way. We bear some responsibility for their deaths. The death of Mr. Smith, while unfortunate, was done within the confines of "the military" and we bear no responsibility, as we cannot c
No, not quite. If a firefighter dies in a blazing fire trying to save a life, that death and the mystique around it is very different if he died in a car accident. A soldier who dies of old age in his own bed is very different than a soldier who dies in the desert in some far away land. IG
Not with the point he is making. The press is talking about over 3000 combat deaths. A combat death in the desert is very different than a soldier who dies in Tacoma. IG
Is that 2,465 combat deaths? IG
is that the way you see it? No, because this is not a military conflict. (in the U.S.). This is a small group of men who want to cause damage and fear to promote their cause. They are not soldiers, beholding to a code or structure. And what exactly is a lawful use of violence to promote a political agenda? IG
I went to the Online Webster and under Terror: violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands Also even with a Military Target you will get civilian casualties. And such an attack would instill fear in the local populace. IG
Thank you for the kind words. After two days I definitely strained the upper thigh muscles. Which means I over did it a bit, which is stupid, but it also means I strained them riding a bicycle, which is pathetic. It only hurts on stairs and standing up. I will probably go back next week but tone it down. There is also a Step class I could get into. Probably throw my back out. IG

Showed up, signed up for a 45 minute class. Met the instructor, Susan. Athletic, medium high, enthusiastic, but not annoyingly so. Three other people came into the class. Looked at the small, thin seat on the bike. Got on the bike. My bony butt and the stick attempting to be a seat meet. My underpants become a thong as the seat wedges itself between my cheeks
(without going insane, that is.) You make it sound like insanity is a bad thing…when there are all types… There’s the talking to yourself, the talking to the invisible person, Giving them their own room, which they trash, so you get them an apartment, but then they don’t keep up with their half of the rent, and once the landlord saw the blood on the floor, well, there went the security deposit, and is he happy? Nooooo….. he has to bring in another voice in my head, now I
