Have you been living under a rock or what? Of course it takes money to run for a office in the "beautiful US!" Unfortunately, this is true and oh so unfair. A good candidate if poor doesn't stand a chance, it appears, without all kinds of support from the "good ole boy" club & the networks giving him/her air tiime. I don't think this is a partisan issue, it's the way it is. The American Dream of any becoming president is just that...a dream.

I saw the tape, too, and I have to agree with you that it wasn't murder. I'm not sure he deserved a beating, but if that's what it takes to stop a charging heavy-weight from battering police officers, I'd say the means to restrain the guy were necessary. In my old age, I find myself “appreciated,” I think, by a younger man. It’s nothing of any consequence, but I’m flattered and a bit confused in my aged brain. A month or more ago, he called me gorgeous. Yes, he said gorgeous…to me, the old gal with the white hair and a few years on her frame.
