You could start out with bootskins, it's very simple to do and a good skin can keep you busy for an hour or two.. I'm home 24/7 too and waiting on SSI/Disability acceptance.. Do you mind if I ask what your condition is Psiko?

Yes, progress bar is at 22x9x4bpp and the background is 640x480x4pp. Progress bar works perfect and is fitted exactly into place as I wanted, but I'm still having the color-distortion problem with the main image. It's fine until the progress bar loads. Both images use same 16color pallette. File sent.
But this time from someone that researched before attempting to ask a friendly question.. Kinda interested in bootskinning so I read up on it last night and was successful in creating them, but for the life of me, I cannot understand this one problem and cannot find information on how to fix it.
