So, the unofficial answer to the question would be no. There would be no additional benefits upgrading to WB8 unless one is using Win8, seems to be correct? I'm primarily asking because I'd have tp purchase the upgrade.

sorry, a little confused here, is that the standard diamond skin, doesn't look like the one that I have. but to answer the question, no, I don't believe there is a function within WB or SS that will allow one to adjust the placement of the icons.
guess I should have mentioned that I don't use photoshop. the question is mainly the interaction between WB and SS and where the skin coders are taking these products. Also wondering if upgrading to WB8 has any benefits over WB7 that impact win7 skins. put another way; If I don't have win8 is there any reason that I need/want to upgrade to WB8?
well first, congratulations for rolling your new WB beta. I'm pretty happy with my current OS (win7), WB (7.4) and SS (7.3) versions. Not looking to ever upgrade to win8 I'm wondering of what specific advantages would upgrading fromWB7 to WB8 provide for skinstudio creations. Are you all planning to upgrade skinstudio and phase out WB7.* as has been done in the past with other versions. is it possible to provide better graphic previews of win8 elements, in skin
Quoting LightStar, reply 42 Guess I'll ask this question again in a different way. I noticed there are some skins that come with WB8 that you cannot delete, the delete text is grayed out, but there are others that say they can be deleted. Will deleting them cause any issues with WB8 functionality? The only skins that you cannot delete are Aero, classic and modified aero as those are OS s
If it's a skin then the frame button position settings would control button placement. The placement is the same for un-maxed and half screen windows. So if this problem actually exists (don't have version 7.9) it would seem to be a WB issue.
Wish people would post pictures along with these type of posts.
spoiler's not working
don't think it is a bug, I believe that the icon size is OS governed, you can have small or large but not custom sized.
I did something like that with a 10-10-10 mask but didn't like the way the font looked (bold and squinched) thanks
I tried the search area as a png and bmp with the same results that you're seeing. it would seem that although the search field graphic is used for this area, that it may impacted by some windows7 hard coding as well. rock and a hard spot?
the default is "blur". look at the "extra settings" for the element that you are skinning. there is an option to to change that function (blur-transparency-no tranparency) for most of the elements that you mention. hope that's what you're looking for.
good luck, hope someone can help you.
what's a CButton, never heard of it. Could you point to a specific page and element of skinstudio for reference to others. posting a picture would also be so helpful.
picture woiuld be helpful
try this next time, should work. You have to let them put cookies on you so that pages that have video will operate normally. http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html
now when you open the thread you are automatically subscribed. open post, uncheck subscribe, to much trouble. someone email me when it's fixed.

And you didn't take the time to make this into a windowblind because... I'm dissapointed, this would have made a really nice WB.
very nice
bummer Karen, hang in there. Is this the guy you picked up and moved with to Arizona or someplace?
